that's it. it a stereo jack located inside the armrest. what i did was to look for a stereo jack with the other end being a male usb connector plug and while i did find one, it does not work for just a usb or some other generic mp3 player. however, while i was looking for such a connector, the guy at the mac shop said that for it to work on an ipod, you need the steeo jack but the other end is an earphone jack. i dont know however if that works as i have not tried it. FYI, the stereo-usb connector jack costs P150 at the mac shop. just about the same price even outside the mac shop

hmmm, maybe i should try a stereo jack with a earphone jack on the other end. maybe this will work even for a generic mp3 player, hehehehe

It will work with the male to male connector. What I want is to be able to control the ipod through our oem stereo. Why did you buy one with the usb? is there a slot for it? if there is it might work and control our mp3 on the dash.

nag e-eksperimento lang. i thought that the stereo will work like the dvd players with a usb slot where the usb contents can be read by the player. unfortunately, it doesn't and my usb was fried in the process. no harm done naman to the stereo and the usb i used was just a 512mb, generic, giveaway, corporate promo, throwaway usb

Question. Is our windshield darker than the windows?

I had it tinted in casa all the windshield and windows with the same shade and it turned out the windshield is darker and boy they did a terrible job! I dont know if the tint they used is the el cheapo type or what. Everytime I go home I have a headache, its like your you came home from a night of partying, the windshield is so blurry parang lasing ang paningin.

Called up our salesman and told me ganun talaga ang tint po niyan pag nilagay sa harap! I told him all my cars never had that problem just now. He just offered me to remove it, not replace it. Oh well, I plan to put all dark black on it someday.

as for the windshield, i am not sure. what i know is that the rear passenger windows and rear window are tinted glass. i did plan to have my windshield and two front glass tinted but then decided against it, for now

hi fellow cx7 owners...just had another roadtrip with my wife and 2 kids to baguio this week end....then headed off to subic and bataan on the way home...

topspeed ko sa SCTEX *180kms...rpm steady at 4x 1000r/min...si misis panay ang tingin sa speedometer kaya hindi ko na nabirit sa 200..hehehe..

as per monitor gauge...ave F.C. 10.5 l/100km....ave speed of 54km/hr....again with apology can't interpret this technical terms...

tried using the cruise control....set ko at 140km speed sa SCLEX...feeling ni misis 100kms speed lang ang takbo...swabe talaga eh..

pero uulitin ko...i never get tired of driving the cx7...sarap talaga i drive...

i just hope that mazda will not get too "predatory" in their pricing for the CX-7

cx-7 peeps, may i just ask whats the real engine performance of the cx7 in terms of HP and TORQUE. because the magazines i read is not consistent with the specs posted by the mazda website and when i inquired in mazda makati. THANKS!!!

3rd fuel economy report:

this economy report is a bit haywire. i decided to top up then using the "sagad" method, i.e. i fill up the tank beyond the usual one click/automatic stop at the pump. topped up again using the "sagad" method. the large variance between the manual computation and on board computer is something i have to keep on monitoring. all figures were reset after installation of new rims

average speed per computer is 23 kph
total distance travelled: 285.9 kms
total odometer reading: 954 kms

travel conditions: light to heavy traffic. average is moderate traffic
weather conditions: generally sunny, sometimes cloudy with a day of scatterred rainshowers
85% city driving; 15% highway (nlex and slex for a one day trip to tagaytay on a sunday and driving in zoom zoom mode, hehehehe)
aircon on at 23 degrees
new rims, i.e. rota options at 17x7.5 versus the stock rim of 17x7
time of travel: 95% between 8am to 5pm; 15% between 5pm to 8am

fuel economy per computer: 14.1L/100km or 7.09km/L
fuel economy per manual computation: 6.55km/L

gasoline used: petron extra unleaded. could be with E10 already

Sir 111prez, based from my observations, usually Mazda/Ford cars has an average 0.3 Km/L error(which is better than its main competitors) from the manual computation. This is true if you always reset the Trip Computer reading for average fuel consumption always during refuelling(Fuel warning light already ON).
