i am now looking for rims (but not tires so the rim size has to be close to my OEM rims and so as not to void my warranty). the pics posted are helpful. hope to get a set soon

*111prez....hello sir and to other cx7 owners...just got back in town from my road trip ...i'm not very good at making reviews or other technical terms pero share ko nalang based from my driving experience..

    - Going to Bikol we left at 2pm friday afternoon and arrived at 1am sat morning...pa full tank ako at SLEX Petron and from then on hindi na ako nagpa re-fuel until we reached our final destination at Daraga Albay..fuel marker was on the 2nd lowest line sa monitor when i parked the cx7..(hope this doesnt confuse you guys)..

    - i wasnt able to recognize the Quirino junction so on our way to bicol i drove the long route ..hahaha..my fastest speed was at 140km sa speedometer , for the FC,,which I just based from the informatin display of the CX7...what was written was I averaged 10.8 l/100km at average speed of 40km/h ...i don't know how to translate this kaya my apology ..I drove at least 510kms from manila to daraga...

    - all i can say about the ride is..SWABE talaga...hirap i describe eh ..hindi matagtag sa lubak..tahimik ang cabin,..(kaka antok pag walang sounds..)...the best thing in driving the CX7 is you don't get tired of driving it....next stop...BAGUIO naman..hahahaha...peace..

sarap naman ng road trip mo. kakainggit. hindi ko pa nadala ang 7 ko outside MM. at 10.8l/100km, that translates to 9.25km/l. not bad if your average speed is only 40km/h and i am sure, aggressive driving ka rin, herherherher :evillaugh

sumali ka dito: www.mazdatech.org. its a forum for mazda vehicle owners and mazda philippines is an active participant. we just had our newbies EB last Jan 9. if you are still here on Jan 24, may photoshoot. sali ka na para dalawa na tayong 7s doon. check the pics of the newbie EB. nandoon ang 7 ko

Looks good. That fuel consumption figure is acceptable for a 2.5L engine.

yep, i agree that it is acceptable for a 2.5L gas engine. but i believe it could even be better especially on the highway and with the cruise control enabled

i tried the cruise control on the skyway from the amorsolo entrance all the way to the curve going to naia 3. setting the cruise control at 100kph, the current fuel consumption registered 6.5L/100Km. i can't wait to try this on the NLEX or SCTEX

Wow, that's 15.38km/Li... So the naysayers in the other thread are simply just wrong.

yep, but for about 5km or so lang, huhuhuhuhuhu

basta naka cruise control, ayos talaga. tapos pinaglalaruan ko ang set+ and set- on the steering wheel to either increase or decrease speed. mazda's own economy run monitored by the DOE got 18km/L but it was on cruise control (tinanong ko ang mazda how they got it, hehehehe)

but sadly, the reality is we rarely get to use cruise control in our daily drives

that is why in computing for the overall fuel economy, i would rather see average speeds posted together with the km/l. in my own estimation, the real fuel economy/efficiency (i.e. bet 7-9km/l) of the MZR engine starts at 25km/h average speed. i was hitting 7.25km/l at an average speed of 20-22km/h already before being hit by bad traffic the succeeding days

Not bad, considering the CX-7 is bulkier and heavier than most of its competitors in the CSUV segment.
