This is the reason why I was desperate back then, I was thinking of the tax and I might not be able to afford it without a big time loan.
Two or three months ago, the guy in Pampanga said that they haven't increased their prices yet. Well, we can't do anything about it right now.
How about Cavite? I don't know what deal my brother had with them but I think he is satisfied.
Have the machine grey cx5 and im very happy with it.
The only complaint i have is with the start/stop battery. I asked the casa pano if mamatayan ako ng battery outside the casa and they implied na i have no choice but to have it towed nalang talaga to the casa
Dont worry, you can swap your preferred Enhanced Flooded or AGM batt yourself. Leave iStop inactive or do the DIY Re-learn procedure:
1. Warm the engine up. Turn everything electrical off that you can - radio, A/C, lights, chargers, etc. Bring it close to electrical load.
2. Switch the ignition off.
3. Switch ignition to on but dont start engine. Long-press the i-stop OFF switch for 3 s within 5 s after switching the ignition ON.
4. Start the engine.
5. Press the i-stop OFF switch. Verify that the i-stop indicator light (green) flashes and stays flashing. If it does not flash, go back to Step 3.
6. Allow the engine to idle for 10 minutes, or until the i-stop indicator light (green) turns off. Mine didnt stop flashing so after 10 minutes or so i just went to step 7.
7. Switch the engine off. Wait a minute or two.
8. Start the engine. Go for a drive, and check that the i-stop system operates normally. Those with i-stop will know that you may need to drive a mile or two until it activates. Remember that i-stop will not operate when (a) for diesels...when engines are in DPF regen mode, and (b) in those other conditions stated in the manual. Also, if a new battery was fitted, it may take some time for the new battery to fully charge up before i-stop will start working. Go for a decent drive so it gets fully charged.
9. If i-stop operates as normal, reset's done.
There's even a procedure to have iStop constantly off.

What's the procedure to keep the iStop off?

I think this is the first time my brother did this on highway, 17 km/L. Considering that it's an AWD 2.5 gasoline variant, this is a good figure. City driving has been consistent so far, between 8 to 9 km/L. No accumulated data yet for highway driving but the figure is quite promising.![]()
My brother is "complaining" with the fuel consumption, I think he has been comparing it with his Elantra but his CX-5 has a bigger engine and is heavier compared to his car. Anyways, he is really happy with it. With all those plastic trims he got used to Elantra and Tucson, he can't complain with Mazda's leather design.
Perhaps he is starting to feel the increase in gasoline price. For me, not much since the price last year of gasoline is now the price of diesel and so I don't "feel" the increase. Plus, I get a two way travel to my usual route in one full tank compared to our CR-V 98 which is just one full tank.
Of course, we can't compare an apple to an orange. It is just that I'm truly satisfied with my purchase of Mazda 6.

Oh well, TRAIN forced a tweak in our trips, routes & lifestyle. Efficient mode is constantly on now. On foot for short distances...I still have no plans to unretire my bikes, tho. I'll try to keep enjoying combustion's last stand.[emoji4]
