There's a marketing tie up now between Shell and Mazda.hehe they're giving away mazda cars sa raffle.

My brother is using Caltex silver unleaded. I don't know why he isn't using Shell​ when it is just a few kilometers away.

I decided to use Shell only following the recommendation of Mazda, marketing or not.

This tie up is not exclusive to Mazda. I remember Ferrari, those good looking toys that I didn't have. I hope they will have this promo again and I'll make sure to have one, just even one.

When I took home our car, included in the package is the Shell kit (a good looking box plus discount cards). With my last PMS, they used Shell products. I'm not in the petroleum industry and I have no idea what and which is best among them​. One thing I learned, courtesy of our members here, that Shell belongs to "top tier".

I admit though that Shell cost a bit higher compared to others, 2 Pesos or so.

There is one owner here of CX-5 who recently won in a race... lots of twist along the cones. He is now looking forward for OVT!

My brother is "complaining" with the fuel consumption, I think he has been comparing it with his Elantra but his CX-5 has a bigger engine and is heavier compared to his car. Anyways, he is really happy with it. With all those plastic trims he got used to Elantra and Tucson, he can't complain with Mazda's leather design.

Perhaps he is starting to feel the increase in gasoline price. For me, not much since the price last year of gasoline is now the price of diesel and so I don't "feel" the increase. Plus, I get a two way travel to my usual route in one full tank compared to our CR-V 98 which is just one full tank.

Of course, we can't compare an apple to an orange. It is just that I'm truly satisfied with my purchase of Mazda 6.

This is rather, if I may say, an "unusual request". I understand that a test drive is somehow "insufficient" to know the car. In car reviews, I usually check the negative comments and weigh it in against on what I like about the car.

Going back, I don't think my brother will agree. However, I'll ask him.

There's probably a CX-5 unit that can be rented for a weekend drive from a dealer. This dude was able to rent out a MX-5 from Mazda Makati:

Do we have TPMS? I don't see the reset switch, however, there's only 1 module part for the keyless entry / tpms receiver so i was wondering how to get it (coz the OEM TPMS sensors are $78/ea.)
