Lemon? Nah...Pasig will hunt that down. When do you hear that clunk? Slow speed on bumps? Have them check strutmounts. Some random early 3s needed spring protectors. Those easily removed whatever fitment tolerances there were on the mounts.

Could be the same issue that plagued the first few 3s (including mine). Symptom was a tok sound when going over a speed bump. It took a while and quite a bit of experimentation with grease and a rubber hose (and some inputs from Japanese techs) before they finally found the solution: shock insulators. Once this was confirmed it only took them about a week from diagnosis to parts delivery and an hour to install.

Thinking of adding chassis stiffening bits.

Bitin? Get the real ones that are proven to stiffen the chassis instead of the bling ones that just add weight

CB or CK? I miss my old CB. Kahit puro kalampag na solid pa rin ang feel ng chassis sa kurbada.

Rear anti-sway bar upgrades are great. If you've plans, get a beefier adjustable 1 w/ reinforced brackets. Early RSB upgrades for the 3 were known to bust brackets. They're now updated.

Tok sounds during humps, sudden downward at mall parking, sometimes while turning. Intermittent yung sound. I talked to Mazda Pasig a while ago and they found it, road test daw muna nila. Then hopefully ma release daw before or after lunch

Please share their diagnosis & fix here for archiving. Thanks, sir.

That's fast turnaround time in your case JohnM, waiting time for delivery for my insulators is a whopping 5 weeks, now currently in my 2nd week waiting. I am very tempted to cross-check with Berjaya if this is normal waiting period, as I'm beginning to suspect Pasig is just being lazy/inefficient.

Thats a consequence with a brand that is not mainstream/popular and/or one that has no local factory. A problem shared with the Koreans. "Exclusivity" cuts both ways. Shame though, if this is already a recognized problem, MazdaPh should stock up on the part and retrofit the affected cars as soon as they come in for PMS if not issue a recall.

Is it possible to enhance the zoom soom sound without voiding the warranty like changing something in the exhaust pipe? 😞

I sent the 3 in for diagnosis as soon as I heard that they were already installing insulators. Swerte lang siguro that a shipment was already on the way and I was on top of the list. 3 parts all come from Japan so there should be a reasonable delay. I'm not sure if the Thai-made 2 will encounter the same issue but with production still ramping up there will be some shortages here and there. Ask for an ETA.

Kind of ricey but try one of those "turbo whistles" they put inside exhausts? You can keept it in Sport mode para raspy ang tunog. Hindi naman ganun kalaki ang FC hit in my experience.

I still have that tok sound every now and then. Had it checked already. It doesn't come up as often as before anymore. Doesn't feel as strong in my breaks anymore as well.
