Aside from LTO registration, the usual freebies that come with a brand new car are tints and floormats. Sometimes they throw in seat covers as well.

I don't think you'll be able to haggle much if you'll be one of the first to buy. But in 6 months or so, when Mazda notices that the Mz2 isn't selling according to plan, that's when bigger discounts come in.

Wonder why they didn't release top of the line version for the Mazda 2 hatch.

^ I think hindi bebenta yung Totl na hatchback ng Mazda 2 because the price is very near that of Mazda 3's Skyactiv base model. If I were the buyer, with a very narrow price difference of the 2 and 3, I'd rather get the 3.

Same argument with the Mazda 2 sedan. So why did they release a top of the line sedan and not the hatchback?

Do dealers offer replacing headlights / wheels of the car you'll be buying with those of the top of the line variant? Or sa labas na pinagagawa ito?

Kasi dba yung hatchback, isa lang yung version and yung headlight nya is hindi pa LED and yung wheels nya, generic lang.

At the price they will offer those to you, mas makaka mura ka pa if you buy the top of the line variant

    Hi mda,

    Thanks for the reply.

I may have confused you with my question. There is only a single variant for Mazda 2 SkyActiv Hatchback. What I meant is replacing the headlight/wheels with that of the TOTL Sedan. So in short, the choice you have is to let the dealer do it (if they would accomodate it, wouldn't they?) or find a 3rd party to do it for you.

If I get your answer correctly, mas mura kung ang kukunin mo is yung available variant that suits your liking rather than getting something else and upgrading it. Tama ba?

Realistically, I doubt Mazda would accommodate you. I guess your best bet is have Mazda sell you the headlight and wheels of the TOTL but you will still keep the stock headlight and wheels of your unit. Anywhere you look at it, this will be more expensive at your part.

I am saying this because from what I know, Mazda are all CBU and they wouldn't want to keep stock of your original headlights and wheels.

Regarding upgrading vs original variant, that really depends on the price of the parts you wanted to upgrade. If you go OEM and buys only from casa, it would be more expensive. But If you can source cheaper parts due to connections or friends in the country where Mazda 2 is assembled or you will be using more affordable but non OEM aftermarket offerings, then that option could cheaper.

In addition, the headlights of the TOTL variant has sensors for auto on/off which are placed right behind the rear view mirror. I do not think this can be installed outside the factory.

It has the same engine and tranny as the 1.5 3 but on a much lighter body. If my 1.5 3 can get 10-11 kpl on mixed harurot driving then the 2 should easily exceed this

Yep. Mazda has a relatively limited lineup of engines and trannies.

The engine on the Mazda 2 and the 3 are basically the same, but the local 2 does not have the 4-2-1 headers of the 3. Thus, less hp (114hp vs 108hp) on the 2. For the others, yes they are the same (M3 2.0L vs CX-5 2.0, M6 2.5L vs CX-5 2.5L).
