Sometimes names (and specs) have to be changed according to the local scenes. laws and tastes: e.g. Pajero is obscene in Spanish so they changed it to Montero in Spanish-speaking countries, the Honda City was named Honda Jazz in Europe because Opel already had the City, meanwhile the Honda Jazz is a re-badged Isuzu Trooper/Mu in Japan, while the Philippine Jazz is the Japanese Fit and so on. And of course the Mz2 and Mz3 is called the Demio and Axela in Japan respectively.
Oh lets not forget our Mz2's ancestor the Mazda 121 aka Ford Festiva aka Kia Pride.
