I went to La Union over the weekend. Approx. 600km roundtrip! Result tuloy ng average FC ko, 9.3L per 100km. So far 1098 na yung mileage ko and I'll have my 1000km PM this weekend sa Mazda Alabang. If may pupunta sa inyo dun, it wouldn't hurt to say hi to me, fellow M2 Owners. Ako pa lang "daw" ang naka Mazda 2 Hatchback na Dynamic Blue (atleast at Mazda Alabang branch) so I'm quite easy to spot there.

The Mz3 1.5 looks awful because it was deliberately compromised. However, once you give it the same rims and ducktail as the 2.0, it suddenly looks exponentially better.
For the Mz2 sedan, I find the problem to be more fundamental - the car's too narrow, and its taillights' location make the car look too tall from the rear. No matter what rims you put or how much you drop it, it will still look too narrow. The hatch hides this lack of width with a wide butt that matches the high placement of the taillights, so it inherently looks better than the sedan. I've yet to see a good looking Mz2 sedan.
I've been looking for enhanced Mz2 sedan inspirations online, bigger rims, etc, but yeah I agree with you on this. The back of the sedan is quite narrow and the butt is a little bit too high, limiting its ability to look like a sporty monster. There are some great enhancements from clubs in Thailand and Indonesia though

Technically, No. But, if you have good enough reason, and proper approval, they will allow it. I asked all these via phone. I talked to Mimi from Services department then she had it approved by her Superior. Afterwards, I asked Mimi to send me a text message confirming what we talked about so that I can show it to them once I arrive during my schedule. #sigurista :D

Don't get why some pips here are ranting about their hate on m2 sedan. I find my Winter really good, both interior and exterior. Havent had any bad comments on her yet
Not referring to you though, sir travs. Dont mind my reply. haha after all everyone is entitled to his own opinion. I just not liked some of the adverbs used. haha good morning!
Well thats good to hear. Sa North Edsa kasi gusto nila ipasok ko even as low as 400km when I said ibabiyahe namin sa Bicol.
The HB works in the Mz3, but on the Mz2, well it just looks stubby and chubby like those early generation Yarises. I have seen both sedan and hatchback Mz2 parked side by side at the casa, and well there's no accounting for taste but the sedan looks better for me, plus having a trunk is more practical. Albeit we really wanted a Mz3, unfortunately Berjaya can't fill the local market orders quickly enough.
I don't mince words, I say it as it is. I've said the same for the Fiesta and old Mz2 - the sedan versions of these cars just don't look anywhere as good as their hatch counterparts.
Also, this is an open forum, not everyone will have the same taste as you. I'm pretty sure some people don't find my car good-looking either, but I didn't buy it to please them. I'm happy with my car and I couldn't really care less what others say.
If I were in the market for a subcompact, I wouldn't even consider the Mz2 sedan. It looks good inside and has lots of toys, but I can't grow to like the exterior. The Mz2 hatch however offers the same package with a much prettier shell.
But I'm sure those who bought the Mz2 sedan have their reasons (i.e having a trunk while retaining the same Mazda driving dynamics), which is why they shouldn't feel bad just because someone else doesn't think the same way. For 855k though the Sylphy and Altis are better sedan options IMO because of the much bigger space for passengers and cargo and better image for most, but they don't come in automatic at this price, don't have fancy features (Bluetooth and push button ignition), and are not as agile as the 2.
