As I know of, you are not supposed to use tap water or purified drinking water. It contains minerals which may corrode aluminum engine block. Use only distilled water.

The minerals form into scale that decreases heat transfer. You're correct on distilled water being ideal.

Yup, its not corrosion but the frequent boiling and cooling may cause the dissolved minerals to crystallize and form scales (the hard yellow-red-orange stuff you see inside your thermos and hot water kettles). It can then block the radiator or worse the coolant passages of your engine.

Pipilitin ko ko umattend hehe. Ano ba nakukuha mo na FC? I'm getting between 12-17km/L mixed city and highway. Comparable if not better than my Sorento diesel.

Drove to the Nasugbu area today with 5 people in the car, including 2 guys who weighed about 220 each (the rest were around the range of 110lbs each). Let's just say nahirapan yung Mz2 ko sa uphills. Buti na lang may sport mode for the extra push. Partida we were trying to catch up with our convoy na SLK and 86. Kahit mabigat, kinaya naman )

Fuel consumption from Alabang to Nasugbu and back, inclusive of traffic... minus two bars
