What's up, guys? ☺
Gamit na gamit last week yung Mz2 (usually 3x a week lang siya nada-drive). Notice ko lang the Mz2 is kind of sluggish during normal/eco mode, kaya halos lagi naka-Sport mode ako. But there's always this danger of over-revving, since the ECU is kind of aggressive with the gear shifts i.e. loves to stay in the low gears.
The Skyactiv G loves to rev. Don't worry about hitting the red line. The fuel cut will intervene way before you're in danger of damaging the engine.
Also noticed you can use the paddles even w/o shifting the gear stick to manual mode, but only if Sport mode is on, otherwise there is no response from the paddles.
sirs, it will be 3 weeks on saturday since we got our unit. still no OR CR. how long did it take yours to be issued?
anything i can ask from mazda alabang to check when they really started processing these docs? thank you.

Kung paminsan-minsan at sandalian (like a few seconds) lang wala naman. Remember the saying, "the better driver drives with his/her eye on the tachometer, not the speedometer". kaya tama yung nilakihan at ginawang prominent ng Mazda yung tach.
The paddles work if the center console gear stick is set to manual mode (+/-) or when its left at D and the Sport mode switch is activated. Otherwise tap all you like but the dash indicator just stays at D.
If individual preferences were unanimously identical, there won't be room for so many carmakers around. 1 would be enough.
I can only wish that lone 1 won't be CVT.
On the hobo 3, Yatta sir, the paddles work on both D & Manual....no S mode.
I guess they have to go to manual mode and shift up manually. BTW never really used the Mz2 gear stick to manually move up and down the gears, mas nasanay na ako sa paddles. Delikado kasi para sa akin since yung Sorento ko + is forward and - is to the back, while Mazda decided its the opposite. Nakakatakot baka malimutan ko.
I was referring to your post saying that the tachometer is more important so it was placed in the middle.
If that was the case, how come the lower end variants not only have a smaller tach, but it doesn't even have a needle?
Digital tachs are the tackiest thing I've seen on an instrument cluster.

^Oh that, I don't know. Cutting corners I guess. A lot of the lower-end variants of cars in the 90s and early 2000s never had tachs.
But like you I hate digital tachs, actually anything digital in the cluster (speedo, temps, fuel). I find the digital speedo in the cluster annoying/distracting, the HUD however has saved me from a ticket a dozen times.

+1 on digi gauge dislike. Why do they have to mess w/ things so ageless.![]()
It's Thailand, that sales agent from Mazda Pasig doesn't even know the correct facts about the vehicles he / she is selling.
