just have my mazda2 HB released today. Drove it through quezon ave in heavy traffic. A very responsive and cute animal at the same time.
tsikoteers, got to ask your comments. I am planning to upgrade my tires to 205/65/ same r15 rim. The SA told me that it will void my warranty. He could not point out to me specific items (mech'l, electrical, or under chasis). The Tech advisor told me to wait for 3 years before upgrading. I told them that i will waive the Tire warranty (one year) , they could not give me a coherent answer as to why or reasons for their statements.
Guys has anyone upgraded to a bigger tires? Any feed back. I just want to have a larger grip on the pavement.
Yeah the tires are a bit skinny and because they are eco-tires they wear out easily. Technically changing the tires should not void other warranties like say electronics or engines, pero hirap makipagtalo sa casa. Ako everytime tinatanong ako what problems I always tell them the stupid horn. They keep telling me sa Japan daw kasi ganyan, I tell them I spent 10 years in Japan and no Japanese would be caught dead with those awful blowers. I ask them I really want to change it to Mitsuba Alphas, but they will only install their Bosches (don't like the sound either) which I have to buy from them, if I want to keep Yojin3.
My Mazda 2 sedan been with Mazda Pasig 3rd day now due to intermittent tok sound sa Front right after ng 1000km check. Still under diagnostic test pa din daw, sana lumabas na today. Sana Hindi to lemon.
Is the tok sound normal when releasing the break from full step to skyactiv cars? Thats what they told me at mazda north edsa and mazda pulilan.
Could be the same issue that plagued the first few 3s (including mine). Symptom was a tok sound when going over a speed bump. It took a while and quite a bit of experimentation with grease and a rubber hose (and some inputs from Japanese techs) before they finally found the solution: shock insulators. Once this was confirmed it only took them about a week from diagnosis to parts delivery and an hour to install.
That's fast turnaround time in your case JohnM, waiting time for delivery for my insulators is a whopping 5 weeks, now currently in my 2nd week waiting. I am very tempted to cross-check with Berjaya if this is normal waiting period, as I'm beginning to suspect Pasig is just being lazy/inefficient.![]()
Thats a consequence with a brand that is not mainstream/popular and/or one that has no local factory. A problem shared with the Koreans. "Exclusivity" cuts both ways. Shame though, if this is already a recognized problem, MazdaPh should stock up on the part and retrofit the affected cars as soon as they come in for PMS if not issue a recall.
I sent the 3 in for diagnosis as soon as I heard that they were already installing insulators. Swerte lang siguro that a shipment was already on the way and I was on top of the list. 3 parts all come from Japan so there should be a reasonable delay. I'm not sure if the Thai-made 2 will encounter the same issue but with production still ramping up there will be some shortages here and there. Ask for an ETA.
