WAZE users out there?

I have been using waze since June last year, use it for traffic situation updates, but I still rely on the MMDA app for major routes, coz it is 24/7. One disadvantage of waze is that sometimes the place where you are going have no wazer to report the traffic.

What smartphone is best for using WAZE? I am using ASUZ Zenfone Max but I am always losing GPS signal.

tignan mo ilan gps count, mas madami mas OK (less dead spot, pero meron parin)
lahat ng xperia phones na gamit ko for gps (xperia c5 and T2 *both ultra), lampas 30 lagi ang count at mas accurate sa samsung c9 pro na gamit ko ngayon.

If isa lang car mo, check Chinese Android head units. Everyday Waze user ako and I just turn on my phone's WiFi hotspot then auto connect HU doon then launch Waze sa HU. Pinakasulit na investment ko sa car. Kahit alam ko na ang route sa destination and walang traffic, I still use waze just to know my ETA. Hehe

Sometimes it's not your phone but the signal from the network itself esp if you're within/between high-rise building like Ayala/Ortigas/Rockwell/etc..

if actual GPS signal ang nawawala, sigurado di accurate yun; kahit sabihin mo pa naka connect ka LTE/4G.
yun post ko sa taas re:gps locker, testing nyo bago kayo bumili ng phone. btw im not saying mag lock sya ng gps signal, dahil bullsh!t yun. gamitin lang yung app para makita ilan gps count vs other phones.

I use google maps. but they had some bugs yesterday which prompted an update immediately yesterday too. but its stil abit bugged.

May nag-suggest sakin to use maps.me pero di ko pa sya naiinstall. Waze at google maps lang din sa akin. Always updated to the latest versions when available.

Sygic. Does not need internet for navigation only. You do need to connect to the internet AND buy the licensed version if you want traffic updates. The thing i like about it is that, unlike waze, it does not need an internet connection if you change your route. With waze if you divert from the set route and it recalculates and there is no internet connection it will not be able to calculate a new route. Maps also don't expire like in google maps.

Google maps. Seldom used. Maps expire and gets erased after a few weeks so one needs to update every now and then.

Mapsme. Very seldom used.

Waze. I hate. "Recalculating. No internet connection..." paano na kung 2G lang ang signal?

At malala din pag nsa baba ka ng bridge or skyway... nalito ung gps.

GPS uses location data based on multiple satellites compared to your location if there is no line of sight to the satellite or only 1 or 2 satellites connect then the location accuracy drops. Your device might then switch to location based on cell sites.

yeah lahat ng gps module walang laban sa building. kaya dito advantage ng waze (in a way), kasi afaik umaasa din sa location ng isp signal.

Maps.me is perfect for areas with spotty mobile connections. You can download maps of entire countries so you could even use it for traveling abroad. I personally almost never use it for driving here because Waze/Google Maps is almost always better thanks to live traffic monitoring, but I like having it on my phone anyway just in case.

Nagpunta ako sa Circuit Makati nung weekend.. Nabiktima na naman ako ni waze, this time hindi ko na-missed ang right turn ko sa C6 pero yung dinaanan ko naman pang-motor [emoji28]..
Grabe yung challenge sa kalsada, ok naman hindi heavy traffic pero wow talaga!! Alalay lang lagi sa drive, buti wala ako nakakasalubong na 4 wheels..

Muntikan pa ako mabudol, may lalaki na lumapit sa sasakyan, gusto pababain yung bintana ko, panay senyas.. Buti na lang nung umusad na ako di na ako hinabol, ang dami tumakbo sa isip ko na scenario..
Basta wala dun ang option na ibaba ang bintana..
Yung mga weekend drive ko lately 2-3 hours yung allowance ko sa byahe.. Matagal, pero hindi ko namamalayan ang oras.. Di ko alam kung bakit.. [emoji16] Enjoy pa din ako mag-drive kahit heavy traffic (salamat Spotify)..
