Same here. I refresh Waze several times and i also allow that traffic conditions change after 15-30minutes at some parts i usually pass. I use Waze to give me an idea of general traffic and then i decide where i pass. There are times i disregarded Waze and lost (kung pwede lang siguro ako pagtawanan ng app). hehehe.

I try to refresh Waze every 15 min or so just to validate if I'm still on the best route. I do this by clicking "Routes" and Waze will update traffic and find the quickest route again.
And yes, Globe is much more reliable with Waze than Smart. Actually, Smart just downright sucks because I only have decent mobile internet about half the time.

I see. Kaya pala medyo weird kanina. Waze says it's slow traffic (7kmh) but when I passed by (Caloocan to Munoz, SB EDSA), I was even able to run 100kmh+ hehe.
Just installed it last night out of curiousity (if it's useful).
maganda siguro kung may periodic auto-refresh setting ito (meron na ba?)

Its supposed to refresh by itself but with the slow network in our country, it helps to manually refresh Waze like what others do (by hitting the Route button).
Waze can also be used in offline mode just to help plot out your route. This can be done by plotting out your destination in advance. Yun nga lang, no real time traffic info.

December 10th, 2015 10:56 AM #196There was one time when I was using my phone to pick the least horrible route going home. I saw that C5 and EDSA were already dark red. Then I saw hulo-mandaluyong-shaw route colored yellow. Obviously, I picked that one. Grabe! When I got to the Mandaluyong circle, it was a parking lot. Pero yellow pa rin yung status ng Waze. After a couple of minutes, biglang naging dark brown. Old data na pala! But the damage was done.

December 10th, 2015 11:25 AM #198I don't think WAZE was designed to handle the traffic situation in Metro Manila.
Imagine trying to find the best route, even if all possible routes are already standstill.
Tapos biglaan pang may titirik na 10-wheeler sa 2-lane na underpass or flyover.
I signed up for WAZE two years ago. Back then, WAZE was very effective in directing me to lesser known routes to avoid traffic. A year after, the local WAZE membership rose significantly and it appeared that the secret routes are now common knowledge. Siksikan na rin...
Nowadays, pag natraffic ka sa eskinita, take a look around, malamang yung sasakyan sa harap mo, may nakasabit na smartphone sa rearview mirror niya tapos WAZE yung tumatakbo. :D

December 10th, 2015 12:01 PM #199Well not all naka waze saka not all na may waze eh makakapag report. So I think di kasalanan ng waze totally haha they are basing on reports by the other user eh. Settings ko sa waze rather than the shorter route un fastest route un pinili ko para less traffic kahit medyo long cut. Kasi un shortest eh super traffic dun ka pa din idadaan.
