First of I am a total noob, and the Ford Fiesta is my first brand new car buy.
I believe many are aware that the stock tires of the Fiesta are Continental tires, ContiPremiumContact to be specific.

Just want to know how the Continental brand is known when it comes to tires. Are they good? So-so? or was it a budget move by Ford? Everyone knows Bridgestone, Dunlop, Kumho quality, but Continental doesn't seem to come out during discussions. I tried searching the forums already if there is any discussion on Continental tires and I didn't find any.

Hoping for some feedback... TIA fellow Tsikoteros / Tsikoteras... Cheers!

Continental brand is not a cheap brand and definitely not a budget tire, I even think its a better brand than Koreans like Kumho or Hankuk and more or less which the Bridgestones and Michelins of the world. In fact yung Conti Contact 2 na nasa Fiesta is actually really good in terms of grip and handling high speeds, I am sure you know what I mean since you're a Fiesta owner yourself... Di lang sikat sa Asia (since we always have more Japanese brands here) since its a European brand, specifically German... But if you play a lot of racing games (like Gran Turismo) like I do, then its a very familiar brand. Sa Gran Turismo ko nga una nalaman yung Continental na tire brand...

Here is their website... Continental Tires -

sa sasakyan ko nga Nexen tyres ang nakakabit...3months lang nagka-issue na ako...me singaw sa walls yung 2 tyres, kaya pala laging malambot...napalitan naman by warranty...until now ok naman, medyo maingay nga lang sa higher speed...pagtyagaan ko na muna....

    about continental, ok naman yan....

The CSC2s on the Fiesta are expensive compared to the regular tires you find on subcompacts, unlike the woeful Kumhos or Yokohama dBs on the Koreans and the Vios... The performance of the Bridgestones on the Mazda2 1.5 are probably a bit better, but they're noisier. While the Continentals are great tires for daily driving, it is possible to get Japanese or Korean tires that are just as good at a lower price.

Tires that are too cheap are not worth the risk to your safety... Some cheap tires, like Nexen, not only are more prone to damage, they seem to go "off"... which means they lose their edge of grip... very quickly...

Kinda stupid to spend half a million or more pesos on a car, then cheap out on the most important piece of safety equipment on your car!
