According to some driving instructors I talked to, kia prides are not good that's why they don't utilize them. Some of my mechanic friends said that the pride's body is soft (malambot) and will disintegrate after a few years. Just like the kia picanto.

I dont know about the body will disintegrate, but I have my kia pride since 1991 it is still in one piece. Newly-painted, engine-overhauled and new compressor, it still is a charm to use. It serves its purpose well, I may add =) I use it for short trips =)

disintegrate?? Like i said, ang dami pa ring tumatakbo sa kalsada, yung iba talagang obvious na hindi inalagaan, yung iba well-maintained.

KIA Picanto is the improved version of Pride so i doubt that it'll disintegrate.


Malambot ang kaha kasi para i-absorb yung energy during a collision. Puro jeepney lang siguro ang nagagawa ng mechanic na yun. hehe

hehe, of course kia prides and picantos do not disintegrate, and they are made of metal so they are nowhere near soft. it was actually an allusion to another thread where this mike person flamed the picanto over and over again. i have a picanto and i love it, and i used to own a pride a long time ago. nice cars.

That's performance test competing with Japanese Tuners. I don't think the racing team will continue to grow if no trophies won by KRT.

Btw, see these cars being used everyday (home-office-school) - di lang pampamilya, pang-sports pa. hehe

Dun naman sa nagsasabi na maliit ang space ng Kia Pride, kasya si Jay Leno sa loob. :D

Yung ibang non-Kia owners ayaw i-race yung mga kotse nila kasi, magastos raw, pricey parts and accesories, at mahirap i-maintain - specially stressed ang cars (good reasons). Some Kia owners race their cars kasi mura at madaling i-maintain (fun reasons). Yung price ng exhaust system ng top car brand, pwede ka na makabili ng Kia na pang-race.

(fanatic ako ng KIA) ung CD5 ko lagi ko binabyahe baguio. from antipolo ako, no stop over. kayang kaya. loaded pa ko ng sakay. isa lang masasabi ko sa kia pride. MATULIN KAHIT STOCK LANG naghahanap ako ng 1.3 engine stock lang for my sedan gtx, wala ako mahanap. bka may alm kayo? Maraming salamat.

I use to have a suki at taft, turn right to taft if your coming from Edsa going to MOA. I just forgot the name... pero dalawang store yun. And they have an on duty mechanic. Until now my kia is still working and very practical.
