plz help po sa cd5 1994 model ko ang takaw po sa gas
kapag naka aircon nasa 8km/liters lang kapag naka off
ang ac nasa 10km/liters.. fully maintained po lahat.
nakaka bad trip kasing lakas niya yung ford lynx namin na kotse.
please help po para may idea ako pag pinagawa ko sa mechanics
baka tatagain lang ako sa presyo. please help poh...tnx.

there are a lot of possible causes for your problem.
carb may need tune-up, tire condition, your driving style, your usual driving distance and route,etc....

you can also register to our forum. There are a lot of tips for engine maintenance as well as reputable shops/persons who you can contact.

Ser I just registered.. sna ma approve..yung first time ko.. denied.. dunno for what reason.. I'd love to know more about the car.. I have a Kia pride GTX 97.. :D

saan pa ba makakahanap ng 1500cc at limited 1600cc na engine pampalit sa stock engine? may nag ooffer pa ba?

may maire-refer din po ba kayo kung saan pwede paayos itong cd5 ko, masyado malakas sa gas... like mga less than 5.5km/L mileage?...

and lakas naman nyang kain ng gas ng makina mo!!! Parang yung accord ko na yan ah - sira pa clutch nyan!!!! a regular kia pride cd-5 drinks about 15-18km per liter......yung akin nasa 16km per liter, mas matipid pa kung highway. Check mo for gas leaks or baka sira clutch mo. Imposible namang matapak ka sa gas right?

medyo normal pa naman yan, since your GTX uses a 1.3 engine diba? Yung 16km/Li kasi sa akin, I drive it really in "tipid" mode, yung hindi tapak ng tapak, tapos patay aircon. I assume you drive with aircon on, and baka mas matapak ka sa gas kaysa sa akin. Kaya medyo ok lang yan, but you can still lower your consumption.

phillipogi, saan mo kaya ako maire refer na magpacheck at magpaayos?

praning na ako sa lakas niya lumamon ng gas eh, di man lang maka 6kms/L. i just learned how to drive a month ago, pero di naman ako matapak sa gas (usually half way lang ako tumapak), at nag ka clutch ako kung magpapalit lang ng gear, tumitimpla lang ako sa 1st and 2nd gear. in driving habits, feeling ko efficient naman ako magpatakbo, hindi ko siya ini-istress.

naka on parati ang aircon sa medium setting on the average. naka align at naka balance naman all the tires, ok ang air pressure, walang gas leak, pumasa ng maayos sa emission last august4, ok ang timing at spark plugs. properly maintained naman ang water/coolant level at helix super oil niya, kakachange oil lang last july i suppose.

kaya nga naghahanap na ako ng mas mataas na makina eh (kahit 1300cc or 1500cc man lang), para talagang maalis na yung problema permanently... in case na makina yung may sala.

di ko naman malalaman yun since i'm not a mechanic, so i really need someone who can help me look into this and solve... maraming salamat sa maitutulong niyo...

full tank kasi ng CD-5 is just about 35 liters ata eh. are you sure na nsa mga 6km/li yung sayo? medyo hirap ng kaso mo pre...

Ako nga yung malimit sa Libis na bumibitaw. Yung bubulokbulok na white na walang bumper sa harap at may OTTIMO na sticker sa gilid.

Puwede sumali siyempre........wala naman restrictions yun e, basta kailangan lang owner ka ng Kia Pride.....kahit sobra stock pa yan.

Di ko alam kung natandaan mo pa yung silver corola na yun pro hindi ako pumayag gumauge syo..

hi a new kia cd5 owner here... me and my dad just bot this car and ok ang cute and ang tipid pa. we n\bot it for 2nd hand for only 7K mileage, kaya medto fresh pa...

just for curiosity, bakit ba CD5? ano difference nya sa iba? i'm sorry fot the ignorance... hehehe

aynyway, san b ok magpalagay ng alarm? ano yun mura na tama lang pang kia?

where can i buy a 1.3 engine? and ano pede kong mods for the engine? any advice sa mga veterans dyan?

KIADOHC on the protege tech philippines forum sells Mazda engines for the Kia Pride. they are drop-in replacements. around 20k siguro yung mga B6 na engine (1.6L DOHC or SOHC).

jtdc, regarding 6km/L on a Kia Pride: holy crap! 6.5km/L on my used Mazda 626 (which I think is already poor because i suspect it needs new O2 sensor, etc). maybe mali ang calculations mo regarding the mileage..
