My dealer was KIA MVP Bacoor, not Cubao. I was just making blind inquiries while waiting for the unit. Actually, CACC already emailed my SA in Bacoor that there won’t be any changes in the specs from the 2017 model (LX) but did not give out specifics, but she did say that since the cars havn’t landed yet, they had no idea what the specs are, except for what CACC told them that is why I emailed Cubao. I guess I was just excited about it although deep inside, I was sceptical. I was actually scared that it will be super decontented. I paid them in full last year, so my car turned out a lot cheaper than what it is priced now. Patina bronze was actually my first choice so all is well.

So what do I do when all the cars I’ve owned before were manual transmission (& just occasionally drive a/t) & now I own an automatic. Well, drive it like a manual. I’ve had my unit for 1 1/2 months now & I notice that I can’t turn into a corner the way I would a manual. Driving an automatic is also heavy on the brakes. Since the car has a shiftronic transmission (along with drive mode select), when I am approaching a sweeping curve in MCX or open road like the ones they have in Sta. Rosa, I downshift using the shiftronic option. I find that I have more control of the car & I don’t have to use my brakes too much.

Kia Sportage crossover celebrates five million worldwide sales - AOL UK Cars

It's a best seller the world over but neglected by the distributorship in the Philippines. I'm here in the UK right now and it amazes me how many Sportages I see on the road, from England to the Welsh countryside all the way to Scotland.

I hope Ayala turns it around.

The Kia to Ayala news hasnÂ’t really gained steam. With the TRAIN & all, maybe Ayala is observing the movement of car sales before committing. Who knows? Means weÂ’re stuck with CACC for the meantime. Their price rollback promo for March seems to be successful. If Ayala was really acquiring it, they wouldnÂ’t be having all these promos.

It seems there are even more changes.

I hope it's like KERS in F1 where you can dial in how much "boost" you want to use depending on how much kinetic energy has been harvested.

Might be for Europe only, since the interest in demand is there. Read here: http://carsalsobikes.com/2018/05/18/...y-undisguised/

I brought the car up to Baguio last weekend. Used normal drive mode in the Tollway & Eco mode in the City. The only time I used the Sport drive mode was going up Kennon. I decided to shift back to Normal since the car seems to jump when the accel pedal is pressed down too abruptly. The wheels also screeched. It takes some getting used to, but the car takes the winding uphill sections pretty well in Normal, so no need for the Sport. I was doing 21.5 kms/liter all the way to the base of Kennon then ended up 17.5 when I reached Baguio.

Too bad they discontinued the 4wd option. Incidentally, a used 4wd GT-Line Sportage would be a great buy.

If you will be open to the option of bidding for a used car in HMR, I’ll let you know if any turns up. I’ve seen relatively new cars there. I was surprised to see some Peugeots being sold.

Auctions can be a nasty business but can also be a source for excellent bargains.

I had my car’s first (5k) pms last week after almost 6 months. They changed the oil (8 lits Zic FS 10w30), oil filter & a/c filter. I found it unusual that they change the a/c filter & the FS oil every pms. Mind you, the a/c filter & oil is not cheap. I didn’t inquire as to the grade & cost of semi syn or mineral oil, but for 5k, 6 month intervals, I’d rather try this. Can other Sportage owners share their pms experiences here?

no thanks, if im in the market for car today eto bibilen ko in this order

    1. Montero
    2. Fortuner
    3. Terra
    4. CRV Diesel
    5. Sportage

sa panahon ngaun kelangan maging practical at reliable durable ang car na bibilen, paliiit ng paliit ang cycle ng bullish vs. bearish, or inflation vs deflation. just get a car na medyo immune sa mga ganito fluctuations sa market. sadly Koreans are not really that bulletproof
