Ako naman masaya dahil di ko nakuha yung 2.4L Theta II na Tucson, hanep daw ang konsumo parang Explorer V6

Wala pa balita sa R-eVGT, kailangan din ng insider sa CAC..

anyway, question also on the supposed blind spot sa rear. from some of the vid reviews I've seen, may blind spot daw due to the large C pillar. Personally, I don't think it will be an issue since i rely mostly anyway on the rear view mirror on the side mirrors para tumingin sa likod, and when backing up i rely mostly on the sensors anyway rather than looking back.

looking forward to mine. nag reserve na ko pero pila na nga. funny lang when we went for a test drive my wife wasn't all the impressed with it. nasanay ata masyado sa laki ng Everest. kesyo lower visibility daw, medyo masyado daw mataas yung windows (buti na lang height adjustable ang seat), kesyo Kia daw (masyadong nag stick ang Kia Pride sa ,mind nya). then nakita namin nung gabi, a pure black Sportage with lights a blazing with the DRL, and wham, na in love din

    thanks
regarding sa hitch, ive asked hitch pro wala pa silang oem na hitch para sa sportage so magsusukat pa sila. ballpark figure around 9500-11k. matibay yun kasi pwede pang towing, no welding or drilling. all cars have provision for hitch receivers

on the c pillars. i dont know what the fuss is about, i turn around and look when backing and also on both side and rearview mirrors. mas nagbobother pa sakin yung a pillar

maliit talaga loob ng sportage compared sa everest. visibility is not its strong point thus the macho look but handling wise much better than the long everest for women drivers

Nah, not worth it in my view... if you factor in the depreciation cost after you pay that amount, you add the P600K difference over the Local released Version, and the headaches you'll have for a Non- Warranty Unit just to have a Diesel Unit against Gas, i think its a better Value for money to get the Local. Just the mere cost of P1.158M over the P1.750M for the Grey Market unit is for me suffice... Maganda talaga Casa mag parating if Diesel talaga trip nyo...

Not counting the extra torque of a diesel engine, it seems patas lang if you factor in total cost of ownership. guess would also depend on your consumption per month.

i drive around 500-700km/month for day to day commute. Theta II at 7-8km/L would mean 90-100L/month. I dunno, what would a diesel get, 12km/L? 15? That would be 50L perhaps per month. So on gas I would spend 4k-5k/month, if diesel I would spend 2k or so/month. Over a year, I save 20k+, over 5 years, 100k ...so if the Diesel variant is 100-200k more expensive, parang net even lang, especialy if balak mo magpalit ng car every 5-7 years.

Tama... Pero unfortunately, uts P600K ang difference e.

For me, the only Sportage worth my extra money is the T-GDi.....

For that power & Specs, FC siguro naman should not be an issue di ba?!?! Hehehehe...

AFAIK yung Sportage na binebenta ni Auto Access at TLX Premium or the Limited variant in Korea.

That's why mahal. May Tucson LMX20 din sila priced around 1.750M

basing off Hyundai, baka 200k or so more ang base diesel variant if ever dumating.

actually atat lang talaga rin ako kaya trying to justify the gas variant

    ^ I don't think so.

Kasi based on the price of the Tucson 2.4 Theta Premium & Tucson 2.0 R-eVGT Premium, 100K lang price difference. Same looks, same features. Engine lang talaga pinagka-iba.

Kaya sa +100K, kinuha ko na yung R-eVGT Premium.. After knowing the horrible FC of the 2.4 Theta II. Sa maintenance naman, wala ok lang. Marunong ako makipag negotiate sa casa kaya nakaka-mura

sorry wrong comparison. i meant if they will release a base diesel variant na same specs as the current offering. i guess if magkaroon nyan na 100k more lang than the current model ok to go for diesel. but if they offer only a premium variant (1.5 to 1.6M), then bawi din sa purchase price whatever fuel you save vs. the base gas variant. That is unless you really want the premium variant with all the bells and whistles.

i guess for me ok na yung base model for now. barely use my car on weekdays naman, mas for weekend out of towns lang so ok na.

btw, saan kaya makakauha nung rearview mirror with a camera? i would prefer to get that vs. changing the entire head unit. i mount ko na lang iPad dun pag long trips kung gusto manood ng pamilya ng movies
