Fellas what's the basic exterior upgrade for your Sporties? I am thinking of:

1. chromed lamps border (?)
2. chromed door handle thingies

What else?

IMO wag mo na ituloy yan chrome. Masyado na marami chrome trims and Sportage..

Better invest for a set of HID, horns and leather seats.

agree with SG. for the exterior, pwede siguro visors and emblems. the existing chrome is enough IMO.

HID = High Intensity Discharge bulbs, yun lights na malakas


Tsaka busina. Baka PIAA Superior Bass horn ang ipalit ko since di ako satisfied sa sound ng horn ng Sportage. Malakas naman kasi pero pangit yun sound

Visor is also rain gutter. Emblem naman, siguro he's referring to the "K" badges.

For basic exterior upgrade, a better tint than the stock 3M BC35. Then change the bulb to a better bulb to compensate for the darker tint if ever. AFAIK, Osram Nightbreakers are just P1.5K kay Maspro. Or do the HID jump as SG suggested, mas expensive nga lang but better aesthetics no contest

For must-have basic interior upgrade, leather seats and matting.

For the matting, I just got the 3M Nomad rip-off.

For non-basic exterior, there's mags and tires upgrade. A step-board. Wahzai added a rear spoiler to his Sporty. Just search for his posts in this thread.

Thanks again Starex Gold. I think I will stay with the normal lamps I have. I am quite irritated by those bright, glaring headlights. Especially those that are irresponsible for leaving their lights in the high position. I don't want to do it to other drivers. And besides, I seldom drive at night because I have bad eyes without my contacts.

If you don't mind Starex Gold, how much are the horns and emblems? Where do I get the emblems?

Yun Sportage kasi naka projector type headlamps which doesn't glare the other motorist kahit ano klase ilaw ang ikabit mo, sa low beam lang ha. Kaya magkakabit ako ng HID.

Yung horns na ikakabit ko nasa 2,500. Meron naman below 2,000.

Yun emblems, di ako sure kung magkano, wala kasi ako plan magkabit. Okay na ako sa "KIA". Alam ko maam inoorder nila yan sa Ebay.

Thanks for the information SG. Glad that you are one of those responsible drivers. I've seen some shops in Evangelista Street, Makati City selling horns. I did not ask though. Next time I am there, I will scour the shops. Good tip on the emblems. I will search on eBay.

I agree with you that the tint is lighter than expected. I did request for dark tints though. My salesman will call me for the retinting schedule.

If you'll go for retinting, you might want to consider investing in good tint brands like 3M and Solargard or even better, more expensive ones like VKool, Huper Optik. etc. The expensive ones can have dark tints pero light pa din from the inside or light tints with high heat rejection specs + long warranties. You can learn more sa Window Treatment Tsikot topic. Enjoy researching!

You could call it that. Halos same material sa Nomad yun carpet. Kaso di naman nila mina-market na "Nomad" so not exactly "fake".

This is purely for aesthetics so I'm not sure if there is a "sensible" upgrade in terms of practicality The stock Kumho tires are already good as far as my opinion goes.
