Has anyone had their Sportage front brake pads replaced at the casa? Does it now still produce lots of brake dust and make noise when braking? I asked to look at the box of the Kia brake pads and it was a red box, Kia Motors label, Part No. 58101-2SA70. I wonder if this is the same as the pads that came with our units. I Googled it and it seems it is also made by Mobis. Starex_Gold previously posted that when he bought OEM Kia Carens front pads (not made by Mobis according to SG) Part No. 58101-1DA00 (verified at casa as for Carens) and installed in his Tucson, nawala ang noise and dust. The pads for the Sportage cost 6K+ while the Carens pads cost 4K+, cheaper by around 2K. Baka kasi pakabit ko yung Sportage pads, mas mahal na, tapos, ganun pa din yung brake dust and noise
whitesporty and SG
subukan kong i balance pag may time ako. i DIY ko na lang. baka palitan ko din ng bracket. flat bar ang ginamit nila sa bracket might change to alum para hindi kalawangin. tanggal grill saka headlights nung kinabit nila pero mabilis naman nilang ginawa and malinis pag tanggal saka kabit.
I just noticed..meron whisle sound when aircon is on...meron din ba sa inyo? i thought it was the fan..but..isa lang ang fan nakita ko sa sportage...anyhow..lapit na mga 7500km sportage ko..so i'll have it checked. i heard it lang when i opened the door..but inside the cabin..no problem..no problem din sa cooling.
it went away lang when i press the a/c button to turn it off but fan is on pa rin...nawala naman noise...
i also found out...if naka todo yung temperature to full cold... and you tried to turn off the a/c from the a/c button...hindi mag off..i thought sira yung button ko..kasi..i kept pressing it to turn the a/c off..but naka ilaw pa rin ang button... then when i moved the temperature nob...then press the a/c button..ayun..nag off ang a/c. another discovery. lol. (Sportage ko is AWD unit..not deluxe so no automatic climate control.)
Question to guys with the code alarm 3051 installed, how many chirps do you hear on (a) lock and (b) unlock. I forgot to ask the installer to activate the auto-arm w/o auto-lock feature
On the other hand, I'm done with my 5000 Kms PMS * 4300 Kms sa Kia Las Pinas. Brought the sporty in at 7:45 AM and got it at 9:20 AM. Spent exactly 4,748.20 Php for everything which is not badSo far so good!
I brought my own 9L oil which I got from sulit for 1,875.00 Php. I've posted the exact breakdown at the Kia PMS thread.
Ah, I also got my speed-sensing lock activated![]()
wow bilis sir fleas ha. 2hrs lang pala magpa pms ? by oct nasa 5k na sporty ko baka ipasok ko nadin sya by then. sana ganun din kabilis ang pms nung akin para direcho office sa umaga.
^ depende sa dami ng gagawin at dami ng gagawa. parang ni-langaw un sporty kaninang umaga eprobably because its early morning and it's a weekday
so far, engine feels calmer and revs smoother. yun nga lang baka ala-placebo effect lang![]()
1 chirp for lock, 2 chirps for unlock. Parang Viper. If you're hearing 3 (or is it 4) chirps when locking, something is wrong. Check the middle remote button: if the tailgate doesn't unlock when you press it, you have the same problem Whiteysporty and I had. Ganun din pala sa kanya. I had to bring it back for rewiring solution. Took the guy some time, but he figured it out eventually after 2 hours. Then Whiteysporty had Sporty fixed too, pero faster na kasi the alarm guy already knew how to do it. Baka naman iba na ang installer ni Mike now sa Ride For Fun?
I currently have the chirps set to OFF kasi iskandaloso, esp at night. And Even if my middle remote button is now functional, I don't use it kasi the alarm is triggered (by shock sensor) everytime I close the tailgate no matter how softly I try. If I lowered the sensitivity naman enough to be able to close without alarm, the shock sensitivity is already too low na kahit kabogin ko na side panel, wala pa ding alarm. Baka basag na glass from robber, wala pa din. So I've kept a fairly sensitive setting for the shock sensor, and I just use the 1st (UNLOCK) button if I need to open the back
I also had the speed-sensing (20kph) auto-lock activated but had it changed back to the original setting where it locks when you put it in DRIVE. I kinda don't like the idea of moving (esp with kids) the vehicle with doors unlocked still. But that's just me
