Addition question about Code 3051. Will it give provide the auto-arm feature? The stock alarm will not auto-arm even you leave it for a long period of time. TIA

I don't think so kasi it doesn't interfere with the operations of the original alarm: it's an add-on model. The fact that it is also offered by Kia delaerships means there is no compatibilty issue.

Yes there is an option for auto-arming that can be set by dip switch. But I didn't want that setting because I've had a couple of bad experiences in years past about the alarm (and auto-lock) arming when I closed the door with the keys still inside. Sakit ng ulo

I've thought about attaching velcro to the underside of the floorliner but haven't tried it out yet, and don't know if it will cling to the carpet. Any suggestions would be appreciated. TIA
Hi doc, did you get those liners locally?

question po dun sa mga owners na kumuha ng insurance na hindi galing sa delears... I got my free 1 yr comprehensive insurance sa metrobank, it's been two weeks na pero hindi pa nadedeliver ng headoffice ng metrobank yun papers ko for the insurance na kailangan ng dealer to register my sporty.

Both comprehensive and TPL insurance ba ang kailangan to register the vehicle or pwede mauna ang TPL then to follow nalang yun comprehensive insurance?

    Thanks.

TPL, CR, OR and smoke emission certificate lang ang kailangan to register your car sa LTO

Thanks for quick reply! Could you give an estimate of your FC, after 3 months of use?

Just an additional clarification. Based on your experience, that's the auto-lock feature, however I'd like to know if there's an auto-arm only. My experience tells me that those are two difference feature: auto-lock vs auto-arm. Auto-arm will only enable the alarm, but not lock the doors. Hope I did not confused the readers and would only like to clarify. Thanks again.

Yes, locally bought Weathertech. Same seller you got from: Hart Intl., but in my case redsand7 himslef delivered the front set. Yes, there is splicing in the wires, so they remove the plastic panels by the door and floor for access. By add-on module, I take it to mean that its features are meant to add or complement to those of the original stock alarm

Madedelay lang naman ang registration mo, and of course the release of the plates. But as long as you have extension papers from the dealer, walang huli sa Driving Without Plate. And as far as I know, if the vehicle to be insured is under financing, Comprehensive Insuranced is required by the lending bank (for their protection) until the car loan is fully paid.

In my experience with car alarms, particularly Viper, auto-arm automatically includes auto-locking too. And just like when you press the top button in the Sportage remote fob, the door locks and the alarm is armed, I believe the same would happen in the Code Alarm if this dip switch was adjusted

I've posted my FC history in the Kia Fuel Consumption thread

Oh noes, I predict dealers will scream 'void warranty!'. It's like that even for the new head units that doesn't require splicing at plug & play lang.

Anyway, guys pa-refer naman dun sa nag-install ng add-on alarm niyo?

One more thing, I just called Kia Las Pinas ngayon for my 5000 kms PMS. Sabi nila Motul raw ung fully-synthetic nila and when I asked if I can bring home the cans, they said they order by the drum so there's no can. Can someone verify this?

Kahit taga-fairview ako, I will travel to Las Pinas if this is true

Sir, if you're planning on having your PMS at kia las pinas, sabay mo na rin pakabit ng add-on alarm dun, if you have concerns about warranty. Yun nga lang, 1700 yung price difference.

Btw, medyo magkalapit pala tayo. Ako naman from tandang sora - commonwealth area.
