Look for Rachel Fabiculanan at Kia las Pinas. She said they can't give that same deal anymore kasi napasubo lang sila due to an oversight with the kwentahan of the freebies total cost. But you might still be able to wrangle a nice deal, just request for items and she'll try to have it approved. Esp if your getting it thru financing (vs cash like mine).

Sir SG, what is the performance of your light (6000K)? Is it ok? How was the performance specifically on rainy days? Thanks so much po.

I agree Sir IceT, hindi na baguhan ang Kia and Hyundai dito compared to Japanese cars.

I also thought before, that it will be an issue, then I realized, will I be in a regular convoy or driving backwards? Hehehe. You don't really need your rear view mirror to view that far that often. I actually found the C-pillar more of a challenge, but I'm slowly learning to use the side view mirror to compensate for the blind spot the c-pillar produce. If you're going in reverse, like they said there's a backup sensor.

I'm enjoying Day2 of my Sportage. I have some questions regarding the trip computer/meter:

#1 Can the readout be changed by computer from L/100Km to Km/L? Para wala ng conversion pa
#2 Does the Sportage have ECO mode like the Tucson? I've cycled through the trip meter and don't see any Eco mode setting. Is this for foreign domestic markets only?
#3 Is it acceptable to see 30Km in the odometer when you get your unit from the dealer? Is this how much the unit travels for pullout?

    #1: Nope, walang way
#2: Yup, pang-foreign market nga yung feature na yun. Plus it's just an indicator if your driving optimally, it does not help you by making correction itself. Though it's a "nice-to-have" feature.
#3 Depende kung saan dealer ka. Sa Sta Rosa area daw ang warehouse. Plus during test drives, dealers intentionally disconnect the odometer. Mga loko ano?

Just got my Sportage 2WD yesterday. Just wondering if you also a wiring problem(?) on parking light controls. For my unit, with engine off, off/on of parking lights are ok; but with engine on, with parking at off position, both park lights and instrument panel turns on, while at on position parking lights and instrument panel turns off!!! I will go to KIA Alabang to clarify unless this is normal to your units also.

Correction IceT, mga una batch ang ECO reminder na tukoy mo, mga KDM sportage ngayon kasama yon sa akin, Active ECO na siya, not just a reminder but it let the ECU to alter the shifting point, accelerator response to achieve fuel efficiency, in short, sacrifice power to save fuel. That's why 98% on the time di ko siya activate.... except malapit na mag empty

    Thanks IceT.

The light goes off if your RPMs go high, and lights up again pag within the optimal range. This was standard in the US 2011 Sportage, but in the 2012 model, it is now Active ECO with a button: When activated, the computer optimizes everything, kaya medyo subdued ng konti ang takbo. Pero mas fuel efficient daw.

My dealer is Kia Las Pinas. Assuming they used it for test drives, and di na-disconnect ang odometer, then this travelled distance of 30km from Sta. Rosa is more or less acceptable, right? Or wrong?

Congrats new sportage owner... it seems there's something wrong with the wiring or programming ... better go to CASA for a check... Btw, makaka adjust ba ang brightness level ng instrument panel yo? baka naman naka set sa pinaka dark setting ang instrument panel kaya pag on ng park light, parang off ang light sa instrument panel.... yan kasi behavior sa KDM unit, with lights off, full brightness at instrument panel, with ligths on, it changes according to the user setting and the amount of light from the surroundings.

Hehehehe. Daya mo naman Sir eh. KDM ang sportage mo, CDRi pa. Fully loaded ng features yata yan. Although, I'm not sure kung yung AWD ay may Active ECO na, for local variant.

bro wahzai, thanks.. I'm giving the diesel gray market variant a good thought nga because of this but again my uncles are against diesel engines.. if 2.0 lang kase of the sportage kunin ko talo siya sa features sa cx7 so its seems my choices are down to sportage 2.4L or 2.0L diesel (gray market) or cx7.. actually 1.5M lang budget ko so sa sportage I would have to shell out more..

Standard pala yung Eco indicator sa Tucson? Yung seats din mas maganda ang material ng Tucson, not that I'm complaining with the sportage's seat.

I'm not sure how far is the Sta Rosa warehouse to Las Pinas dealer, but additional 30 Kms doesn't seem to bad to me, as long as you are happy with the unit.

Unfortunately, my 2WD model instrument panel lighting has no rotating adjuster unlike some vehicles.

Sa AWD model lang (and KDM models like wahzai's) merong instrument panel dimmer.

Gents, are the Nightbreakers and XP's whiter than stock? Which one is better? Is it worth the upgrade? Thanks =)
