Personally, I LOVE my car. I thoroughly enjoy its power, its comfort, its looks, and its versatility. And I would love it if a thousand others would be able to enjoy what I'm enjoying now.
I'm really glad that I was able to buy this car before the series of price increases but it really saddens me that the price increase had to happen in the first place... I really hope that CAC will roll back its prices again in the future.

I already have 20+tkm in my odometer. Does anyone have higher mileage than this? So far I don't notice any major concern.

Btw, curious lang ako pero napansin ko parang may “heartbeat” (or vibrations at a regular interval) ang clutch pedal kapag nakarest ang paa ko kahit naka idle. Normal kaya yon? M/T ang sa akin. Thanks.

You said it right!!! di tayo dadami as a group, last year when i purchased my carens, kala ko talaga dadami ang bibili nito, kasi may alternative na sa innova and the crosswinds, and also it has a great engine, great ride, great value.....but now bcoz of the price increase, ang lalabas sa carens natin ay RARE (one of a kind), and if an item is very rare or one of a kind, d bah mamahal ito???parang collectors item...hehehehe

July 7th, 2008 02:48 PM #2197same with our kia carens.. nung mabili namin eh ganun na brand new talaga with 27kms on odo kasi galing sa stockyard dinala sa dealership.. isa pang napansin ko eh when you release the clutch halfway (slide clutch) and rev the engine may ingay ka madidinig na parang grinding sound.. faint lang naman pero ramdam mo pero pag fully release wala naman problem
pero ok lang naman yan as long as walang driveability problems....mas ok na yan kesa yun engine na biglang namamatay di ba..

Heheheh parang may tinutukoy ka dun a.
Ano kaya ang iniisip ng columbian for their price increase.
They are just plain dumb and greedy. Pag ganito lang din ang price nila now no doubt Captiva ang best option between the two.
I love my carens but sinisira ng columbian ang kia dito sa atin due to all their price increase.

July 7th, 2008 06:37 PM #2200I am disappointed with my Carens FC. The Sales Agent claimed it could go 12km/L city driving.
I am only getting an average of 8.5km/L.
my 2003 Altis G a/t is even more fuel efficient at 9.5km/L.
My 1995 lancer and my 1999 starex had economy and power mode.
I usually set them at economy mode for city driving and seldom set them to power mode(only at expressways and going up to Baguio or Tagaytay).
I wish Carens has the same feature.
I think it is set to POWER Mode all the time.
