thanks to all your views.

Actually first choice ko is xti but my father in law mas prefer nya xuv. He doesn't know that ang makina of both are the same lang kaya nagtaka sya na xti ang 1st option ko.. pero may rebuttal sya, "di ka naman siguro nag 120kph sa mga curve pag kasama mo mga apo ko?". Natawa tuloy ako. Samantalang mas kaskasero yun kaysa akin.

like other crosswind owners ayoko rin kasi ng maraming sakit ng ulo in terms of maintenance. plain, simple, old but reliable engine lang.. di ko akalain one month na pala ako nagsesearch what to buy dito sa tsikot. lurker na.

hinihintay ko lang ang new stock ng suv na darating maybe for test drive for suv.

Good luck on your search sir, test drive lang ng test drive para sigurado ka sa paggagastusan ng hard earned money mo. Any which way you end up, XTi or XUV, pareho naman sila underneath, so sigurado kang hindi sasakit ulo mo basta alaga lang.

and +100 to all crosswind owners who drive and use their rides to the fullest and yet respect its limits.

yung mga masayang nag-kakambyo kasi tanggap nila na medyo kulang sa power at ang konswelo na lang nila e alam nilang may pulling power sila pag kailangan.

yung mga taong natutuwa at maganda pag-kaka tune up ng makina nila pag nakita nilang 130kph ang takbo. haha.

masaya sa limitations ng rides nila, kasi alam nila hindi sila talo sa kabila ng lahat.

well said sir edwin. kung may extra/6th gear nga lng ang crosswind e wala na tayong hahanapin pa. hahaha ang pinaka-konswelo/pampalubag loob ko sa M/T XTO ko e nabili namin ito bnew ng 695K lang (sulit na sulit compared sa mga civic VTi at SiR na mas mahal lalung lalo na sa mga CRV/Rav4 na kulang kulang 1M na nung mga panahong yun) at mukhang hindi ko pa mapapalitan ang xwind ko any time soon.

na experience nyo na ba na apihin ng mga snobs coz of your xwind?

i've had pipol ask me kung hindi ako pinapara ng mga commuters kasi ang xwind daw ay pampasada lang. its a glorified passenger vehicle. its actually classified as AUV or Asian Utility Vehicle as opposed to SUV or Sport Utilty Vehicle. therefore daw, comfort and features of xwind, even the xuv/sportivo variant, are not at par with those found in SUVs.

one guy even asked me why i did not get the montero e mere 200k lang daw ang price difference. in other words, parang sinasabi niya na engot ako. nyehe.

kasi di ba nya alam na malaki na yung 200k for me and i gues for many poeple too? tsaka 2002 yung xuv ko no, wala pa montero nun even if gustuhin ko ng montero. tsaka buti nga xuv nabili ko coz i realized how good it is.

its true gusto ko rin montero, pajero, fortuner. maybe someday i'll buy one of those or all of them. hahaha.

but 1 thing is for sure, i will not buy those at the expense of selling my xuv, ill buy them in addition to my xuv.:bleh:

sbagay, i dont mind. its worth it being a xwind die hard. and why not? just look at your ride, siya yung tipo na hindi mo binebeybi, siya yung ibibiyahe mo ng malayo and you couldn't care less, yung kakargahan mo ng todo, yung gusto mo lagyan pa ng roof rack para dumami pa karga, yung naiisip mong dalhin kapag malakas ang ulan at baka bumaha, yung pang volunteer mo na sasakyan pag pupunta sa proviince at rough road, samantalang pag nag-iisip ka ng dream ride mo, hindi naman siya ang iniisip mo. And yet, kahit abusado ka at medyo taksil sa kanya, your xwind remains loyal to you, ready to serve you, mwahahaha :screwloose::screwloose:

wala bang taga isuzu motors dito???? sobra na advertize namin sa xwind, aba e pa free change oil naman kayo jan!!!!!! tsaka discount sa accesories!!! nyahahahaha.

Sir mazingerZ, ngayon ko lang nakita Iloilo location mo hehehe. Just here in Kalibo but frequently travelling RORO to Bacolod.

Its not that I'm flame baiting. I was basing upon my experience (about at least three times - different models - XUVi, XUV, Sportivo, XTi). Different years pa. Part and parcel of my job. All sorts of vehicles na rin. and tama si Niky, if you were to opt for a crosswind, an Xti is the sure bet na di mabagal. All the rest from XUV up medyo slowmo na ang acceleration and top speed sucks.

I've been saving up to get a xwind myself, yun bale ang magiging family car namin aside from my daily ride. Mas ok nga daw ang xwind compared to other AUVs.

It doesnt matter if they call it slow... im not punching 150kph with my family on board. Kapag mag-isa ako sa car, pwede. But with them, hell no.

kaya mabuti na lang din na cant afford ako ng mabibilis na suv,hehehe...talagang matutukso ka magpabilis e...

just be reminded that the xuv/sportivo has a tendency to hydroplane earlier than a car, due to its weight and tire spec. be sure to put some distance from the vehicle in front when the road is wet so that you will have braking room. no problem with the brakes, its just that the wheels will lock and slide when you brake suddenly and therefore, you have no directional control.

its a basic principle, but more pronounced on the xuv/sportivo.

I think it has someting to do also with the stock A/T tires of the Crosswind, specially the Michelin LTX. Pansin ko rin with my XTRM medyo mabilis mag lock up kapag sudden braking. They say you can try switching to highway biased tires to improve handling, yun nga lang at the expense of softer sidewalls as compared to the stiffer ones of the A/T tires.

its the A/T tire factor too. i know ganun sa michelin which i use. i wonder kung ganun din sa pirelli. not sure kung A/t o H/t na ung pirelli e.

i have no idea sir e. yung 2002 crosswind ng mom ko, nagpalit ng goma last december, pero michelin a/t rin. it cost 20k more or less, 4 pieces.

ako,70k plus na mileage ng sportivo 2005 ko pero isa pa lang pinalitan ko ng gulong na michelin LTX kasi nagka damage na,nagkaroon sya ng mga bukol sa mga spike kaya pala sobrang vibrate pag tumatakbo...5,500k each ng michelin LTX A/T dito sa camarines norte...

ako naman Antipolo- Makati route ko everyday, tapos may out of town family trips din, kaya hataw ang mileage. sakto sir, hirap talaga pag may makukulit na bata, kaya pagka ganun tapon sila sa dulo, doon sila magrambulan hehe. laking bagay talaga ang gulong, nag iiba talaga dating ng sasakyan. ako kung may budget lang din balak ko rin upgrade kahit XTi lang. nakakatuwa naman mga posts nyo. it brings me back 3 years ago when i first signed up here in tsikot to fetch information before purchasing our very first brand new vehicle.

actually, wala naman talaga akong balak bumili ng sasakyan. tahimik akong nagtatrabaho sa ibayong dagat nung marinig ko kwento ng sister ko tungkol sa hirap ng pag byahe ng parents ko pagnaisipan pumunta sa probinsya kasama ung mga pamangkin ko na below 4yrs old. sabi ko naman, since single pa ako, iregalo ko nalang sa kanila ung sasakyan.

actually gusto ko sana innova dahil bagong model that time. pero nung tinanong ko tatay ko, xwind daw gusto nya. so i did my intricate research on the net, mga tanong sa ibang tsikoteers and eventually napapayag narin ako na sige crosswind na since ito din naman gusto ng parents ko at di naman ako ang magda drive.

pagnakaka uwi ako sa pinas, natutuwa na din ako at crosswind ang pinili ko dahil una sa lahat, ang tipid nga sa gas. at consistent na malamig nga ang aircon kahit tanghaling tapat. matibay din ang makina at tulad ng sabi ng iba, maaasahan.

well to be fair, the cons i've noticed are yung tagtag at ugong ng makina, things i have expected in a way so it lessens the disappointment. you can increase the volume of your music to appease yourself (pun intended). but rest assured, these are bearable and will not cause you utmost discomfort when traveling.

ang sa akin lang, just know your needs well. familiarizing yourself with the kind of vehicle you are purchasing to lessen your expectation and all will be good.

family traveling with reasonable comfort, a very reliable and trusted engine, low fuel consumption, and a personable vehicle, that's what i got from the crosswind. all's well that ends well.
