true...but i wouldnt mind driving a 4x2 fortuner gas na lang.ayaw ko na diesel..hehehhehe. cge..ill look around at how much i can sell my ride and if i got the money, bili na lang smaller suv.

went up to tagaytay recently via sta rosa. car temp went up coupled with a bonus "check engine" light shouting at me. pulled over and saw that coolant was as dry as the sahara (i know, my fault). i kept it at idle and when it normalized i replenished it with the only available caltex coolant (that oddly placed gas station quite near the pnp academy). was able to drive by thru tagaytay and back home to manila with no problem whatsoever (so i thought). here's where hell begins.... everytime i go on an uphill (multi-level parking and hills) temp begins to go up. your inputs (except the word "casa" allergic na ako dyan) would be a lot of help. thanks in advance.

Kung perennial problem ang over heating. Chech your cylinder head gasket. Isuzu trooper engines whether X1 or G2 has a waterloo. The head tends to warp kung napapabayaan na walang coolant. Once it warps the gasket will be useless. Three serious things can happen. Oil leaks out of your engine via the gasket. Loose compression. Coolant goes into the chamber and eats the metal near the valves. Get it checked ASAP. Mahal ang cylinder head ng 4JX1!!

finally resolved the matter... after the many return trips to many different shops...and after every sweat and toil... nakita na diperensya.... clutch fan!!! had to pull down teh radiator, fan, thermostat and of course the ch gasket.. whew!!....walang nangyari, overheat pa rin ... ang ironic, sa dami ng tumingin di nila napansin ang basic... i had about 3 mechanics each claiming to know the problem, iba ibang lugar pa, toxic talaga.... hope this benefits other isuzu owners out there... regards..
