Trooper 4JX1 2002-up model

Besco motor oil is the same as other brand of motor oil. oil recomended for 4jx1 10-30 or 5-30w. one 5-30w brand is Havoline Energy. Good product but i dont know if suitable for philippine temperature.

Possible, in one engine all they replaced was the injector sleeves and rpcv, the injectors were ok.
Replaced the trooper with a Fortuner, figured i'd have a longer warranty.

hi guys
mine is 2000 model 4jx1 so far sa awa ng dyos ok pa naman...alternator palang ang nasisira sa akin...mileage is 30k..mahal din alternator! anyways casa maintained yun akin...sbi nla madalas ang problem sa skyroof edition daw...meron akong dating kapit bahay who works for isuzu phil sbi nya d rin nla alam why...sometimes biglang shutoff engine and ayaw na mag start..

yun sa kilalako 2003 model skyroof na trooper nag iintay rin ng injector kailangan din palitan ng buo. casa maintain ito sa alabang......inabot yata warranty kaya free of charge........

takot na yata ako sa car ko...although performing well with its 24k+ mileage..only problem is black smoke..kahiya.

should i sell it and get a compact suv instead?

Napansin nya sa casa mabait sila sa 4jx1(siguro sa dami problema). pinalitan rpcv, injector, including the turbo(recall daw lahat turbo) and body of the map sensor. yung map sensor lang daw pinabayaran at yung pms(65km PMs ). mga 14thousand ang bill. under warranty daw yung injector(this make me think). although i warn him of going crdi.

Wow, how did he get warranty on injectors after 5 years, 2nd owner? Was the car with very low mileage?
Never heard of a turbo recall on 4JX1.

well, it also made me think. kala nga namim e nanghihingi lang nag padulas yun SA pero wala naman. request lang ng SA ay dun sa kanya pa PMS. about warranty, naisip ko na baka kapapalit lang ng injector kaya warranty pa. 2nd owner sya and 66km yata odo(i think, 23km nag lang sulat pero nung dinala sa casa labas na yung true odometer reading). turbo recall i think lahat ng 00 yata. sabi rin ni larshell pinalitan yung dalawa nilang 4jx1 ng turbo. map sensor, my bad, MAF(mass air flow, tama ba?) sensor pala.

AFAIK,
the 2000 model has the strong but problematic 4jx1 already. Sayang nga ang power nito because of the problems encountered.

Kasama ko si Beetols nung isang araw, may dumaan na ganyang model at tunog Hi-lander na...sobrang ingay na ng makina..tsk tsk.

On the other hand, may mga nakikita rin naman ako na ok naman manakbo.

ask your isuzu casa mekaniko about the 4jx1 problem, if they answer

1. ganyan talaga basta city driving, umuusok.
2. normal lang sa trooper ang black smoke.
3. change oil lang yan.
4. sabi ng isuzu philippines....
5. wala pa kaming training sa CRDI...
6. .......(scratching his head)......
