    i have a 2003 model... 35T Km no problem what-so-ever... even the black smoke died out after my 15T Km check up... so far very happy with it

    just saw a trooper with this engine with a 115k milage ! grbe glat ako e ang taaas and ..... sama na ng tunog knina de ko alam kung dahil hindi well maintained but it still runs ......

    maintain or hindi, it will eventually die...sakit ng 4jx1 ay yung injectors....sayang yung engine, has a lot of torque and horse power pa naman for a 4cylinder diesel engine.

    Hello,

    I have happily decided to get a 2000 model Trooper, 4x4, with only 20,000 original kilometers. After reading this thread, I am a bit worried. Does the 2000 model have this 4jx1 engine? Or in what year models has this injector problem been observed? Thank you.

    How much bili mo? Do you know the first owner? 20,000km 6 years?

    I know the owner very well. This unit is rarely used because he has a lot of other cars to use. There is no question about the truth about the mileage. The unit is running great but P64K++ for injectors is too much, or will be too much.

    Was the unit casa maintained? Possible cause of problems was using the wrong engine oil or water in the diesel fuel.
    From experience, you'll may have problems when it reaches 70-75k km due to injector sleeve o-rings. Just have them replaced before it reaches this mileage.

    jack: Can we conclude then that if you use Besco all the way and have the o-ring sleeve replaced say every 70k km that the 4JX1 motor is still a good buy? Nga pala ilan km/liter average ng 4JX1? Thanks!

    My engine used Petron all terrain 5w30 oil, replaced the injectors, rpcv and injector sleeve orings at 70k km based on tec 2 diagnosis. I have seen 2 other engines develop problems caused by failing injector sleeve orings (when orings fail, the fuel and oil will mix) at around 70-75k km.
    Sold my trooper to a friend who has not had any problems and does 8-9 km/L regularly. He had the EGR disconnected so no more smoke issues.
    At second hand trooper prices, the injector sleeves, injectors, rpcv repair cost is worth it at least for the next 70k km.

    2000 Model Trooper with 20k mileage basta totoo yong mileage tapos ang price is not morethan 500k get it. Kung ayaw mo ako nalang bibili

    Salamat. Totoo ang mileage. Sigurado ko dahil kilala ko ang may-ari. At hindi rin kamahalan ang price niya although mas mataas naman sa P500k. Salamat sa advice mo.

    Sa Aussie I read that their problem is diesel fuel getting into the engine oil. Exactly how this happens I dunno

    I sold my trooper 4jx1 91 model 950k. Very well maintained. kakainis mas me alam pa ako ke sa mga mekaniko sa casa. if you can get it at 800k ok na.
