I find the stock alternator of our hi-lander on the small side, 40amps lang...

it really wont be a problem using a 3sm battery, but I think with lighting upgrade & sound upgrade your alternator wont be able to keep up with the load. Even if you have a 3sm but your alternator doesn't produce enough juice it'll be worthless cause it cant charge it fast enough the way you'll consume it. given that your stock alternator is already 10 years old, mine gave up on the 6th year of use. Performance might not be at its peak, know what I mean?

Nga pala nasa 4.5K bili ko ng surplus Nissan Patrol alternator 90amps, yung b'new 3sm motolite gold nung isa kong rig 4.5K din bili ko... So think of it

Nga why would you want a bigger 3sm? why not just by 2sm excel (green)?

Mine too i replace my stock 40 amps alternator to 90 amps mine gave up too palagi nalang ako tinitirik nito every night kapag loaded lahat that's why i switch to 90 amps alternator and also my 5 years old battery still working dahil bihira lang magamit ang hi-lander xtrm ko.

either of the two brands pwede, kung medyo tight ang budget pwede na ung Simota brand na nabibili sa Blade or sa suking shop, cost around 600 lang ata un. Been using it for years, weekly cleaning lang kailangan para di masyadong kumapal agad ung dumi nya, deep mo lang sa Joy with water after 10 mins. pwede mo na banlawan ng water tapos bilad mo na sa araw, after 5-10 mins. pwede mo na ulit ikabit.

Hello guys ask ko lang how much yung Outlast Battery 2SM or 3SM ngayon bumigay na kasi yung battery ko ayaw na magstart naka 5 years na sa akin tong battery kong outlast gusto ko subukan sana yung 3SM na Outlast Battery ano ang mga modification para magkasya yung 3SM na battery sa 4JA1 engine? Price of a 2SM should be around the P3,500 range.

Battery capacity does not have anything to do with the type/brand of engine it caters to. Pwede pa sa alternator siguro.

Particularly on your query using a 3SM battery on your Hilander, you need to determine if it'll fir the battery tray. I believe there are 3SM batteries now but sized like a regular 2SM.... not sure thou.

Imposible na "zero" temp ng makina. For a Hilander, it should be 1/4 whether aircon is on or off.

Only pro I could think of using 17" rims is it looks good in any vehicle (or any rim bigger than stock size). Aside from that, CON na lahat such as:

• Rim price (more expensive for sure)
• Tire price (more expensive too)
• Compromised riding comfort
• Heavier steering (due to wide/heavier tires and rims)

As for the tire size, likely 215/50R17 (really depends on which vehicle you would mount the rims/tires)

I think may leak ata yung rear differential namin... Kakapaayus at kakalagay lang ng gear oil nito pero bakit kaya parang may tagas na naman... Need help po TIA

Before you make an assumption, best to have your Hilander's underside thoroughly cleaned (underwashed) to remove existing grime and stains. Observe within the next few days if you still see any stains/leaks.

There is that chance din kasi na baka dala yan nung nagpa-drain ka the old gear oil.
