*michaeltoks: While driving, I didn't notice if it was spewing or emitting black smoke.

For sure meron yan lalo pag nagchi change gear. Once the CEL/MIL lit up on your dash, you could feel that the engine is restricted. Restriction requires harder press on the gas pedal. So the harder you press, the higher the rpm goes and it will emit black smoke especially if suddenly change to a lower gear.

As to the sounds, annoying talaga yang mga unusual and weird sounds.

After the Bocaue exit, walang cars masyado so I decided to punch the gas pedal. Nung 160+ kph na ako, meron vehicle na naka yellow light na palapit ng palapit na nakikita ko sa driver side mirror ko. 175 kph, my truck maxed out and tinabihan na ako and that's where I saw that it was a Hilux. Feel ko din ang high speed nung time na un so I stayed in the 160 to 170 kph and siya din siguro, gusto niyang mag mabilis, so naka buntot lang ako sa kanya until we reached Cloverleaf in EDSA.

*elcapitan: Sir, wait for the reply of sir d_mac. He has a chip installed in his truck. But I think his is a RaceChip Pro.

*Uncle Nick: What do you mean by "your Isuzu dealer?" Did you mean all Isuzu Dealerships or Isuzu Commonwealth? But I am gonna inquire in Isuzu Commonwealth too. What I don't like is you know in dealerships, their prices are so exorbitant so as much as possible, I don't want to buy any accessories from them. But thanks for your input.

*dreamgame: 4JH1 or 4JJ1, kahit anong engine pa siya, kung di mo siya aalagaan, same lang na magiging sirain siya. Mas ok para sa akin ung 4JJ1 kasi commonrail na siya so that means, mas refined na ang takbo niya.

Hindi naman sobrang complicated ang DDI Iteq. If I would based it on my experience, 100k kms ung natakbo ng truck ko and more than 5 yrs na, wala namang complicated parts na napalitan. Bushings, brake pads, belts, SCV, EGR, water pump, timing gear, etc. Yang mga yan. Meron bang complicated diyan? And sa mga solutions, andito ang Tsikot where the members are very helpful in giving pieces of advice kung saan shop, DIY, etc.

Ang medyo complicated lang ay where you gas up and what type of oil you use.

Always choose what's best for your car so that it will serve you well too. Kaya kung ang dilemma mo ay ung complicated sa di masyadong complicated, don't dwell on it too much. Ang isipin mo ay kung paano mo siya aalagaan when the time comes that it will be in your possession already.

I live in the Provinces and only deal with Isuzu Cabanatuan. I became friends with the Parts Manager and he gave me an Isuzu Accessories Catalogue issued by Isuzu Motors Japan. My assumption is that this is available to all Isuzu dealers for their customers....it is a sales tool for them.

From the catalogue, I purchased an Isuzu Clino Meter as comes standard on the Boondock Dmax, and had it installed by the dealer so as not to affect my warranty.

Ask at an official dealer for this free catalogue. It contains many other interesting accessories.

Of course they are expensive because they are quality built....just like Isuzu vehicles.

    Ciao!

    Uncle Nick.

    Thanks, Uncle Nick!

Meron pang isang shop sa Banawe that does that service, naipost ko na dito un and I forgot the name, Isearch mo nalang.

Sorry to say but Isuzu dealerships don't offer EGR cleaning. I asked what will happen pag nilinis, sabi naka ilaw pa din daw and sira pa din. Ok nalang ung sinabi.

Do you have a picture or a description of how it looked like and where located?

Can you recommend a good under chassis specialist?

May A/C belt din kasi doon. So either one of those belts or all those belts. Yes, they just tightened it and nawala na ung swishing sound on startup and when turning off the engine.

I don't have any recommended under chassis specialist that I have personally tried for my Dmax. Everything is done in the dealership. Ipa check mo nalang sa dealership. Pwede din baka hindi sa under chassis. Baka there are parts of your truck that need re-tightening like doors, hood, etc.
