    *bugoys: Mga ganyan din ang reading ng RPM ko sa 100 kph. Basta lagpas na siya ng 2k RPM.

    Mura na yan 900 for EGR cleaning. Ako ang plan ko is to have it cleaned every 15k kms.


    *pepengtom: I have tried RP 0w40, RP 15w40 and Motul 5w40. Sa Royal Purple oil, I never had any problems. Pero sa Motul 5w40, my tensioner had problems and sabi ng mechanic ng Isuzu, masyadong thin ung 5w40. It was producing a hiccup noise and ramdam ko talaga na biglang sumisinok ung truck. Replaced it with 15w40 IGMO, nawala. Sayang lang ung Motul, ang mahal pa naman at 600/liter ata.

    So for me, I would just use a 15w40 oil to be sure para hindi masayang in case magka problema. You can try other oils and tell us your experience. Like my experience with RP, maganda siya pero medyo pricey lang. Ung Torco SD-5 in Isuzu hindi ko type, magaspang ang takbo and ang mahal pa ng charge ng Isuzu * 800/liter ata un.

    I can't say anything with Idemitsu coz I haven't tried it with mine. Pero sa Civic & City namin, if I am not mistaken rebadge yan ng Honda oil, kaya kung totoo man un, nakagamit na ako but for gas engines.

    If you really want acceleration, medyo talo talaga ang Dmax diyan lalo ung 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd gears. Kasi halos puro torque lang siya sa gears na yan. Pero once na gain na ung momentum, tuloy tuloy na yan and from my usage, it will top at 175 kph. Yang downside sa acceleration will be a plus if you are hauling kasi all you need is 2k rpm to propel the truck and you don't need to keep on reving the engine para gumalaw. Kaya tipid sa gas. 120 to 130 kph, parang wala lang yan kahit may karga pa. Kailangan mo sigurong iexercise po ung engine, sir, para mabanat ang buto buto.hehe

    Ung needle dapat sumagad sa dulo. Kung hindi, most likely baka ung floater sa gas tank ang may problem. Ipa fill mo sa gas boy after the auto shut off hanggang sa max allowable level. Pag hindi sumagad ang needle, floater na un.

    Wow~ ganda pala ng gearing ng D-Max. Pareho ang manual at matic? Ang Strada namin tumatakbo din ng 100 at 2100rpm at 5th gear. Lamang pa dapat yun ng lagpas 30hp.

    Thanks man! When cleaning your egr, does your friend use ordinary carb cleaner or may special concoction/chemical pa na ginagamit?

    *pepengtom- Congrats on your purchase boss! If I were you, i'd replace all fluids upon purchase of a used car, regardless kahit bago pa yung oil and whatnot, I don't know, probably for added peace of mind na din.

    Re your fuel gauge, yes it should go all the way to the "F" level, even higher pa nga eh, I mean lagpas pa sa last line. Try filling up slowly, para ma lessen yung pressure, or like what rna said, fill her up to the brim and check.

    Hindi ata carb cleaner ung ginamit niya. If I recall it correctly, he cleaned it with diesel or gas, then he sprayed it with a chemical para mas matanggal daw ung soot. Nakalimutan ko kung anong klaseng chemical un pero inoorder daw niya un.

    Try mo sir magpa blanking. Parang nakagasolina ang dmax mo, may sibat at arangkada. walang usok at addedmore fuel efficient.

    As for blanking, i've been contemplating on blanking it for more than a year na ata. Minsan kasi hinde na aasikaso ung pag blank or nakakalimutan na. Tska naghahanap pa ako ng naka dmax na naka blank talaga. Hahahah!

    *burgiz2014: Talagang undecided padin ako sa blanking na yan. Medyo decided na ako magpa blank noong umilaw ung CEL and I have contacted sir zix888 for the blanking, pero I didn't get a reply anymore kung paano kasi taga QC ako. Hanggang sa nawala na ung CEL, nawala nadin sa isip ko ang magpa blank.

    My truck has served me well for 6.5 yrs na hindi naka blanked. Siguro hindi ko na siya ipapa blank. May kilala naman akong naglilinis ng EGR, ipapalinis ko nalang. Besides, it would take some time before the valve gets clogged with soot so ok lang.


    *bugoys: Sana maging maayos ang pagpapa linis mo sa EGR mo, sir.

    *ChoyJo: PM sent, sir. Talagang from Pangasinan to QC, willing to travel para lang ipalinis ung EGR mo.hehe

    meron ba naka experience na meron simisipol paf rpm above 2.5k? sa right side ng ilalm ng dashboard. parang yung turbo nya e. normal ba noticeable yung spund nya sa loob ng cabin?

    more than 2 months pa lng dmax ko. pero sa power, handling wala naman ako reklamo. so far so good. i did soft and hard break in during the 2k period.

    newbie here...

    got a problem with my spare tire... can't remove it from the bottom compartment... having a hard time inserting those steel sticks on the small hole for the chain mechanism... this is our third dmax from model 2005 to 2012 and mine is the 2013 (the last model before the all new dmax 2014)...

    anyone who encounter the same problem... whats the technique in getting the spare tire...

    got a problem with my spare tire... can't remove it from the bottom compartment... having a hard time inserting those steel sticks on the small hole for the chain mechanism... this is our third dmax from model 2005 to 2012 and mine is the 2013 (the last model before the all new dmax 2014)... same problem i have encountered...

    anyone who encounter the same problem... whats the technique in getting the spare tire...
