If you design engines that are not well lubricated sa break-in period patay lol.
What I mean is that the components have just stared moving and lubrication have not yet penetrated on it. As I have said, I am not an Engineer. If you can enlighten as newbies about this the better.

Ano magagawa natin dyan? E kahit yung "new stock" sa stock yard na bibilhin natin, puro gasgas yan sa stock yard. Inaayos lang talaga before release

There are several parts na need mo i break in from production.

    1. Gear box / Rear differential(front and transfer case if equiped) - 500kms, soft accel/deccel lang and should not exceed atleast 100kph so it would not overheat the oil due to tight tolerance pa when new.

    2. Engine, we only break in the rings. - 500kms, soft accel, if turbo, limit use of boost. Then lots of vaccuum to force the rings to expand on the cylinder bore.(engine brake and down hill) No speed limit but dont over rev or rev higher than 1/2 of your redline.

    3. Brake - 100 - 20kph hard braking. Do it 10 times and cool off for 1 km in between. Done.

    4. Clutch both in Automatic and manual, smooth accel and deccel lang. No speed limit.

    5. Tires, 500kms. No speedlimit but madulas pa ito kaunti..

Some use car carrier for delivery.

Pero pag wala talaga at OC ka sa initial mileage, you can ask na padeliver mo sa nearest isuzu branch near the port then kaw na lang mag pick up and drive home to assure proper breakin.

THE NEW ISUZU MU-X BLUE POWER - YouTube

2017 Isuzu mu-X facelift, not digging the white interior and wood trims though. Mukhang nabalutan na ng soft touch materials yung plasticky interior lol.

mga boss, is it normal for a SA to ask you for a reservation fee amounting to 5000 pesos so you could be first in line for the upcoming unit? ganito kasi sinabi saking ng ahente sa isuzu balintawak. naghihintay padin kasi ako ng grey na muX.

I paid P50K reservation at Isuzu Iloilo. Akala ko nun di sure na dadating yung unit. But the SA is up to his word and got the unit after clearing the port release. It took about 2 weeks which seems to be normal since provincial area ang location ng dealer.

is the 5000 kesos for bragging rights that you are the first to drive one in your area?
or is this the standard shipping rate for "out of town orders" ?

But you have to pay by bank or at the dealers cashier. Not directly to your SA.

I don't know about your deal. But usually 5K is the reservation fee which is deductable later on the price of the unit.
