October 3rd, 2009 07:46 PM #65Mga sir.
Newbie question lang po. I just got a '03 trooper na skyroof 4jx1 engine (ODO 69500 kms) a few days ago. Nag pa change oil ako sa petron using Besco oil 10w30 and original filters at nagpalit ng mga fan belts.
We towed it to Isuzu (casa).

I have same model trooper as yours, 68k on the odo & happy with it so far. It's not the oil - Besco 10W/30 naman yung oil mo. Keep us posted. Thanks.

October 5th, 2009 02:11 PM #68nochemd, kung injectors nga yan & since nasa isuzu casa na yung trooper mo they should replace the injectors free of charge for as long as the failure is not due to misuse or abuse. They wrote letters regarding this to trooper owners - ask a copy from the previous owner. Pa check mo rin yung RPCV [rail pressure control valve], injector sleeves, injection system wire harness - 6 years na rin kasi trooper natin.

October 6th, 2009 12:36 AM #69Thanks for the replies.
I justr talked with the Isuzu Service supervisor this morning. He feels that the sensors (RPCV and something else ) caused the problem. He also told me that If the original owner didn't change the recalled injectors, he would replace it for FREE.Hopefully walang ibang problema para less gastos. Will keep posting here for updates.
I like the size and shape of the trooper and that is the reason why I bought it. I just have a couple of questions for the owners of the Isuzu Trooper 2003 Skyroof.
1. How long will it take before I can get my ride back assuming that the injectors and sensors caused the problem ?
2. Has anyone here tried converting/changing the engine of this trooper model ? What engine did you use ? How much did everything cost ?
Thanks in advance

October 10th, 2009 08:12 PM #70Update lang po.
Nakuha ko na trooper ko from casa. Sensors lang problema. Pero had it checked by a person who knows turbos. Bumigay na turbo ko. I had him rebuild the turbo.
Please help.
