Hmm... now that's different, to the best of my knowledge, 5W30 is the one that is supposed to be used. I wonder if its because with the replaced injectors it can now use 10W30? Calling on the more experienced 4JX1 owners here!

so, sir benz besco multi z SUV - is for sports utility vehicle? doon sa receipt is 10w 30 ung ginamit. .. i have no idea kung bakit ung ang ginamit.. this month of august ko lang napansin.. after 6 months na pinaayos ko ung trooper.

You can check that by looking at the engine number at the identification plate somewhere at the engine bay or the engine # indicated in the Certificate of Registration.

But if that is a locally sold (purchased) ISUZU Trooper, I am almost 100% sure that is a 4JX1 engine. (since I believe 4JX1 engines started since '99/'00 until the Trooper's last production.

..... unless, the precious owner replaced the engine prior to your purchase with a 4JG2.

Im still wondering why Isuzu stopped the production of the "Trooper" line and replaced with the Alterra. Is it because of the 4JX1 problem?

Just realized that new models are still coming out for Trooper's counterparts like Prado, Pajero, Patrol..

the one i bought is 1999 model isuzu trooper local not 2000 as i first stated the with the type of engine i saw the bill from isuzu cavite service it says that the engine is 4jx1. but the CR stated that the OR is dated july 28,2003 does this mean its,s been acquired 2003? the oil they use is also multi z 10w 30

When you see UBS73- in your chassis or CR.

my trooper 99 mausok siya pag bagong start but pag nag init na or i've arrived tinitingnan ko hindi na cya mausok is this normal? when do i need to change oil every 5k or 6 months which ever comes first kasi hindi naman cya masyadong gamitin.

3 months or 5,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. As for the diesel fuel, I still would prefer Petron then Caltex then Shell.

Then again, that's just me.

I'm nearing my 15,000 kilometers since my last PMS.
