4jg2tc engine is a conventional diesel engine. yan yung last engine sa trooper bago naging 4jx1(crdi). last na nirelease dito e 99(kapareho ng sakin at kay 4jgtootsie). bulletproof engine sya. yung friend ko bumile(07 yata) dati ng 4jg2tc sa blumentrit mga 65k yata inabot(dont quote me on this). walang starter and alternator. ginamit nya na lang yung sa 4jx1. after matapos conversion, nabile pa yata ng 20thou yung 4jx1 nya

August 27th, 2009 03:43 AM #52my dad-in-law owns a trooper with the problem-engine described in this thread. he sends it to their company mechanic 2x per month just to keep it from totally conking out. eventually he is to sell it, especially after buying a new alterra just recently. sayang talaga because i personally like trooper's suspension, the ride quality ain't bad at all.

August 28th, 2009 09:57 PM #57Mga sirs would you know san ako makakabili ng alternator ng 4JX1? bumigay nanaman alternator ko. Had it repaired na last month pinalitan yung IC and just yesterday nag overcharge naman and found the rotors and regulator as the culprit. I'm thinking of buying a surplus na lang sana na 80amps hitachi (stock alternator ng X1). Baka meron kayong alam mga sirs kung san meron nagbebenta neto? I have scouted sa banawe unfortunately ranges lang to 50-70amps, masyadong expensive yung sa casa 45K!
