    4x4 2.2L R-eVGT GLS Premium AT - PHP 2,228,000

All are SWB version not LWB.

    But they are all 7-seaters

I ended up getting gray market na lang.o

IMHO, the 4x2 is too expensive for its features compared to a GTV Montero or 4x4 Fortuner V. And the 4x4 ? At that price EXPLORER na lang ako.
Sir how much kuha mo sa grey market? Hancars ba? Meron din ba sa kanila 4x2 MT or 4x2 AT or premium lang lahat?

HARI's prices? Too expensive in my opinion.

    4x2 M/T should be 1.4M
    4x2 A/T should be 1.6M
    4x4 TOTL should be 1.9M

250k ang difference compared sa kuha ko sa 2011.

    +
    new design
    push start
    led tail

    -
    gps (skypine china)
    auto wiper ??

    same engine ba?

If it was as feature packed as a GT-V or 3.0V, it'd be way underpriced at 1.768M.

The fresher design (inside and out) alone, to me, is worth at least 100k.
The superior engine is worth another 100k.

There's also the space and the comfort.

Mahal yung Santa Fe compared to the current competition because it's a better car. Hyundai usually prices their products well, and should demand turn out to be lower than expected, you can expect the Santa Fe to get discounts. But if things go as predicted and the general public accept the car and its pricing warmly, then expect the Santa Fe's price to stay put.

Let's see how the Santa Fe (Gen 3) fares with its competition. The local SUV market is now more crowded than ever, so I'm wondering how much brand/model loyalty will be worth nowadays. I've yet to see the SF in the flesh, but it does look good.

IMO, hyundai's strategy is to create a new SUV category within the 1.6 - 2.2M price range. They can't compete in the sub 1.5M range because that is already crowded with the montero fans club, nor do they want to compete with the explorer /pajero luxury. So this price range which seems void of a competitor except for Kia perhaps is the most lucrative playing field. Same thing as how the camera manufacturers are positioning their micro 4/3 models in between the point and shoot and SLRs.

With this pricing strategy, Hyundai is thus saying that we are better than a montero but value for money compared to a pajero. They can't go lower than 1.5M or else, it will be deemed as people's car.

I'm excited at how the introduction of the Sta Fe G3 will affect the market. I could sense that Kia will be the most affected by this. Although the Sorento is a great SUV, it's kinda lost in its positioning. With all the variants, it's trying to grab all markets from the 1M to 2M As such, consumers are confused if the Sorento is a montero, a CRV, a Pajero. Something is terribly wrong with their marketing and in effect, affects its identity.

    Ang labo nga!

*sagingsaba: I don't think the SF SWB is a more value for money proposition vs. a Pajero BK. they are in a diffeent league. Yung LWB version ang katapat ng Paj.

Sir, how about EuroStandard Motors Phils Inc. or Hancars?
Wala ba sila unit like the one you want?

Yes, I meant not enough loaded for the price. Wala yung Dual Zone auto climate, immobilizer, and others compared to the a bit cheaper sorento EX. Sa bagay 18 inch Rims and ESP plus nya. Pwede na rin. Sana mura pa ng konti.

Agree, yung GPS touch screen kung di OEM, di malaking kawalan yun. Di naman maganda.

How much yon quote nila sayo? pag hindi TOTL, optional ang panoramic sunroof. Above 2M ang mga 4x2 na may sunroof pero hindi pa TOTL.

But it's the same R-eVGT engine as the previous generation.

Which is why the outgoing Santa Fe was a steal, especially if you put technical aspects above everything else. Thing is, the outgoing Santa Fe had a dated interior (with cheesy wood trim) and even the elegant exterior gets tiring after over half a decade.

Compared to the 1KD-FTV and the 4D56 of the competitors, the 2.2L R is simply sublime. More power, more linear powerband, better fuel efficiency.

gingawa na nga lang freebies ng Montero yun mga rear camera and touch HU eh. tapos sa Sta Fe parang pang-premium pa.

with regards to Phil. condition i.e. roads, the Montero is meant for this. etong 2nd Gen Sta Fe, lover not a fighter. ibig sabihin pang porma lang. to buy 3rd gen sta Fe - to buy another weakling lover at that pushed up price then talaga yabang na lang yan car na yan, and for what it's still Korean BTW
