There are mods na pag pinatulan is as if we're saying nagkamali tyo in buying our unit and should have instead buy other brand -
IMO, this mods fit the bill.

Question lang po mga sf3 owners. Mavo-void po ba warranty ng sf3 in case na sa labas magpapa-install ng HU...? Plano ko kasi kumuha ng 4x2 unit (HARI). Masyado kasi mahal quotation na nakuha ko galing sa SA ko. 50k for hu, 8k gps and 4k for rear cam. Kung sakaling hindi naman ma-void warranty, baka meron kayong kilalang SA/casa na may best deal. TIA

Pioneer HU is one and then there's this Growl HU which is what I have. Am not sure if Pioneer needs splicing but but it definitely needs an adaptor or bracket to fit in. You can ask or PM imperialv as that's what he got installed which is really good. Growl is Plug N Play head unit. It has a rear backup camera, an analog TV tuner and gps.

Before asking, I suggest you put in a (1) a budget, (2) your needs, and (3) your wants in a head unit.

If not, you won't like me recommending head units with 6-digit price tags.. "Pinakamaganda"

Yup, am satisfied na sa sound quality ng Growl HU. Not really an audiophile, just want the sounds to be much better if and when I want it kaya I changed all my speakers to Focal. Yung Growl HU ko was an option given to me instead of cash discount which I took.

Sir how about gps, tv and bluetooth ng growl ? Ok naman ba sya ? Lahat ba ng buttons sa steering wheel gumagana...? May nabasa kasi ako na may mga brand/s na hindi mapagana yung buttons after nila magpa-mod. Tia

Ang hindi lang gumagana is yung phone controls sa steering. Aside from that, everthing works. Pero hindi ko alam, baka this time ay napagana na nila yung mga succeeding release. No big deal for me naman even if it's not working as I'm not fond of using it naman. It also has TPMS nga pala at yung sa akin ay pinakabitan ko. Quite expensive at 12k ang TPMS when I had it installed though.

for my sound setup, no splicing was done.. Gumana lahat ng controls sa steering and even the USB port sa harap gumana.. The new 2013 models ng pioneer mura na ang tv tuner unlike sa 2012, mahal na at out of stock pa.

Regarding SQ, mas gusto ko SQ ng pioneer compared sa Growl Audio nung unang labas pa.. But I heard na iba na yung interface ng Growl Audio so I'm not sure if the SQ is improved.

If you really want Growl Audio, better audition yung kay dr reyes, mas maganda set up nya.

You may also want to consider FlyAudio it has a very decent interface. If you can get one with DSP that would be a good buy. It usually comes with dvd, navi, option for reverse camera, tpms, tv option similar to growl. But if I had the a good budget I would go with Alpine or Pioneer mas mahal nga lang. I have a FlyAudio unit on my FXT ok naman. But I feel the DSP of the stock FXT unit (Nakamichi) is better. One thing I like about FlyAudio is their user interface, very decent, easy to use and OEM like. They don't have those funny looking icons..

I also have Growl HU, ok naman siya for everyday listening. All the controls work including the steering phone buttons which I need for hands free calls. But, since may pagka-audiophile ako, had DSP and amps installed and changed all speakers to aftermarket with subwoofer.

Check with your casa if it will void the warranty of your headunit, wag naman sana buong warranty ng sasakyan. For the headunit price that depends what model you are looking at, I suggest going to a reputable car audio shop.
