doc, update mo kmi ser sa Sound Process mod mo...I was also thinking of doing that if it can Add separation of Sound when I install my Front Center Speaker. ayaw ko din sana kasi palitan muna yung stock H.U. coz I like the way it looks than other H.U.s plus kasi gusto ko yung RED Theme glow ng Sorento....

while stuck in traffic kanina, i discover a gem inside the glove compartment - a COOLER VENT!

after exactly 3 months of owning this vehicle, nakita ko din!

BTW, regarding my problem with the right seating position, I finally found a way to make it more comfortable ( to me at least )

I raised the front side of the seat using "nut & washer"... what difference it makes especially with respect to thigh support.

Asked the SA and technicians about our DPF during my 5k PMS sa Hyundai NE, if our 4x2 unit really have it. But they could not or is not really sure if it has a DPF installed. What I did was I sent an email to HARI and they acknowledged my inquiry and will forward it to HNE...wtf. They could have just answered it right away but didn't. Next day a lady from HNE customer relations called me apologizing about their SA not being able to answer my inquiry. To cut the story short, sabi meron daw DPF ang new SF. But I still doubt there is a DPF installed dahil when it was lifted sa casa I checked and could not find it. Normally, the DPF is installed after the engined block and right after the flexible metal pipe/hose going to the exhaust. Anyway, will ask them to show me where it is located sa susunod na balik ko sa casa.

Larry, the DPF is best seen sa engine bay. It is inside a wide diameter pipe near the turbo and engine block going downwards.

The SA at HQA also told me meron but non-functioning daw due to our emission standards, so naka deactivate siya sa ECU.

Well as for me it's better not to have it in our unit, considering the fuel quality available here,

"maga blink-blink" lang yan sa dash ntin every now and then.

Finally saw it, doc! Whether it's activated or not, am not sure! Been asking that because I was thinking of using a Catrol EDGE Titanium FS Oil which is not applicable for cars which has a DPF. Thanks, doc!

Yup meron sound siya parang singaw na may slight rumble pag nag regenerate siya, very discrete sound not offensive as one might think..

Tingin ko may DPF, di lang siya functional. Integral part na siya ng R-engines ng Hyundai and I dont think we are big enough market para bigyan ng Hyundai Korea ng engines without DPF. Sabi ng SA, the program was removed sa ECU so the DPF now has a different function for PHDM models.

actually ser na found out ko na Euro2 Specs ang PHDM Sorento...so yes Hyundai/Kia have infact gone thru extensive length to satisfy Euro4 and Non-EUro4 Diesel market like ours....

Pre, pa post ng pic pag nalagyan mo na ng front center speaker. How big will your speaker be and what processor will you be using for the center channel? Thanks.

Guys, I am in the process of having my sound set-up for the SF3. The install would take mga 2-3 days. It's an OEM install so the speakers are in the stock location, the amps and processor under the seat and the sub in the trunk.

I winced once they started picking apart the car, hehe.. Ther reason why the sound is decent is beacause the stock speakers are decent and of good quality. The magnets are big and the doors are pretty sealed with OEM deadening already. The installer just needed to deaden the inner shell.

Anyway, ang hirap makita na inaalis isa-isa yung door, fittings and glass windows kaya umalis nako, hahaha.

    question lang po mga sirs,

how important is the warranty to you?

first suv ko kasi if ever so i'm not familiar.

    i have these options kasi:
    1) phdm 4x2 1768000 less 90k
5 yrs warranty and standard features for phdm.

    2) gray market kdm 4x2 at 1,790,000
with the ff features not avail in the phdm unit:
    - panoramic view
    - leather seats
-8 inch lcd with gps, back up camera
    - 2.0 not 2.2 engine
    - 1 yr warranty lang

my choice is option 2, pero my concern is the warranty. big deal ba yun?
    what would be your choice?

thanks in advance for the help!
