Hey guys, ill also be a Tucson owner this week. After working hard abroad... now its time to pamper myself and own a BLACK crdi 4x2 tuctuc.. cant wait to be back home ...![]()
sir may bibilhin po ako Blak 2007 tucson crdi wala po ung service booklet sa may ari, paano po magpaservice sa hyundai ok lang po kung wala un paano po ung 5 years warranty? thanks po
"Cleaning" them won't help. The squeal problem will come back after a week or so.
If you have the squeal problem on your brakes, have it fixed at Hyundai Pasig. They will send the brake assembly to their machine shop. It will fix the problem permanently. You have to leave your car for a day or so though.
When i had the problem, the squeal sound is coming from the rear drum brakes only. Wala naman squeal sa disc brakes.
I think this problem is already corrected by Hyundai on newer batches since i don't read many complaints on this forum. FYI, i bought my Tucson 2 years ago.
If you plan to buy the Tucson, i recommend asking the dealer about it first.
Thanks Sir Savan. My Tucson is model 2008 which has disc brakes on the four wheels. I am just curious if I will be expecting squeal from it. Regards....
I don't think so, been using a similar model for more that a year now and i haven't experienced any squealing.
what are the variants that came out back in 2006? same as the current lineup ba?
2.0L CRDi 4WD AT
2.0L CRDi 2WD AT
2.0L CVVT AT
2.0L CVVT MT
im considering getting a 2nd hand tucson, what quirks do i need to look out for sa 06 model aside from the brakes?
and never owned a diesel before, ano advantages of going CRDi sa CVVT gasoline variant aside from the more torque and diesel is ofcourse cheaper.

Advantage of diesel will not be much if mostly city short distance travel, for long distance province travel, my choice will be diesel, and CRDi engine produce more power and torque compare to the old diesel engine with the same displacement therefore, lesser diesel consume. On the physical, the dual exhaust pipes of the CRDi looks much better than the single one on the CVVT version.
Somewhat OT but curious, how do you pronounce Tucson. Kasi may ibang tao they pronounce it as TWO-SON (as in the number 2), while others pronounce it as TUCK-SON. Ano ba talaga? Ako kasi dati TWO-SON basa ko dyan, or TUCK-SON ba talaga?
Yung may lahing American, TWO-SON maybe right, yung may lahing conio, TUCK-SON may be correct. hehehe
Share ko lang... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tucson,_Arizona

The English name Tucson derives from the Spanish name of the city, Tucsón [tukˈson], which was borrowed from the O'odham name Cuk Ṣon (pronounced [ʧʊk ʂɔn], roughly "chook shown"), meaning "at the base of the black [hill]", a reference to an adjacent volcanic mountain. Tucson is sometimes referred to as "The Old Pueblo".
