You are comparing 2.0 GL diesel mt with the 2.0 GLS Gas at. Features wise, i agree-the crdi manual has similar features with the gls gas models (e.g., abs, 2 airbags) so it makes sense to compare them to each other. But since walang GLS gas na mt, i think 50k should be removed from the price of the gls gas a/t to have a theoretical gls gas mt (note: 50k ang diff ng MT and AT GL gas models). So, ang actual na difference for me is not as high as 300k, pero not as low naman as 180k. i think 230k is just about the right price difference. Again, theoretical ito kasi hindi rin naman talaga fair comparison yung GL manual diesel vs GLS gas at because of the comfort that an at tranny gives you.

I agree with the trend dito sa forum...in choosing the model that's right for you, isipin mo lang talaga paano gamit mo ng sasakyan. Kung city driving na sometimes weekend warrior, the gas model should do. pero if you get to drive out of town often, and you need power and you can afford it, then CRDi is the model for you.

I bought a GLS at kasi yung dati kong sasakyan eh tucson din na gas at. hehehe...sanay na kung baga and may brand loyalty na ako. Ang pinaka comparo ng tucson for me is the sportage. depende sa taste mo nalang yan kung anong style ang gusto mo sa dalawa. di ko lang gusto sa bagong tucson, cheap yung mga plastics...madaling magasgasan. pero otherwise, am happy.

bro as far as i know, yung GL CRDi variant is automatic transmission din. when i had compared them before, the only thing removed from the GL crdi was the leather steering wheel, cluster rheostat, some leather trims here and there, engine covers. It has still retained the side mirror signal lamps. but what the diesel variant differs from the cheaper gas GLS variant is that it has 4WD na and theres that side mouldings sa door. So considering the engine and the drivetrain only, the difference of 180k is justifiable, well in my own point of view.
