Hello po Sir Yuichi! Long time no hear! Am doing fine naman. Ang magaling kamo ang Team Hyundai Philippines. Kung hindi dahil sa Officers nila, hindi kami makakarating hanggang sa Board Room ng HARI! Hehehehe

Ms. Fe Agudo is a very down to earth and very approachable in person. Hindi ka mahihiyang magsabi sa kanya ng mga concerns mo.

sir dapat nga ihataw mo na habang break in period pa. ako ala pa 1k naabot ko na ang 210 km/h na speed sa star toll...hataw mode ang break in sa santa fe natin...

Yup lamang nga pero di siguro maiiwan sa high speed yung navara kasi kaya din mag 210 km/h.. Pag pinag karera ko lahat mauna Santa Fe , Navara , Grand Starex then yung 3.2 Montero

Hi to all Sta Fe owners. I'm just a newbie here pero I usually read the forum from time to time to get some inputs about sta fe. I find it very helpful and enjoy at the same time. I also met mam LR at maspro (mam LR ako po yung may black na sf na nakasabay nyo sa maspro from makati, kung maalala nyo pa po)

I just want to share my experience and hopefully could get some inputs also. I got my sta fe last week of april and before sya umabot ng one month i've noticed na meron siyang rattle sa ilalim. I had it check to the dealer were i bought my unit and they tighten the bolt under chassis na kung san merong rattle. After a couple of days na observation same pa rin ang tunog sa ilalim. Tinawag ko sa service advisor and he said na ibalik na lang sabay sa 1k check up. After the 1k check up and days of observation ganun pa din. Since na hindi matumbok ng dealer ko whats really the problem, I brought it to another dealer and they said that my unit need a rack and pinion bushing. They already ordered the parts kaya lang lampas na 2 buwan di pa rin dumating ang bushing ang sabi e bka 3rd or 4th week pa ng november. So meaning mag hintay ako, another situation is that nagka rattle na ang dashboard on same side maybe because sa tunog na yun kasi tunog metal to metal at mukhang lalong lumalala.

I also fill-up the online survey form from HARI a month after ko nakuha ang unit kaya lang wala man lang tumawag sa akin, kaya nagtaka ako yung iba ang bilis ng response sa kanila after they sent the survey.

What do you think the best thing for me to do considering the above situation?

I suggest you to open the same thread in SFCP. I assume you already a registered member there. Lots of 2010SF member/owner will post a reply there re your query.

Which CASA did you get your SF and the second CASA who told you that the problem is the rack and pinion? Kung rattle underneath ang problema means your moving at hindi stationary? kasi kung stationary baka grabe mag vibrate ang engine mo which is not normal

Did you send your SF to 3rd CASA baka meron pa silang ibang findings?

ImperialV send his SF to E Rod for the correction of squecking sound, baka same kayo ng case. So far as per his last post na identify na raw ang cause after so many tries by different CASA.

sometimes back when i responded to the survey of HARI re: my new SF...i mentioned that there were tiny spots of white paint sa body and ma notice mo ito pag talagang close scrutiny and sasalatin mo yung body surface at maramdaman mo yung very tiny dots...malamang talsik to ng spray sa casa.

so kanina rochelle of dasma called me up regarding that survey that i completed and she informed me that HARI told her to do whatever it takes to address my concerns (kasama na dito yung squeking sound pag braking, etc). so sabi nya dalin ko daw yung SF para ma inspect nila at ayusin kung ano man ang pde nilang gawin. sabi ko dalin ko baka this saturday and i dont know what to expect from them kung pinturahan nila or i top coat nila ulit or whatever pero sabi ko never nyo i rubbing yan. sabi nila aayusin daw nila at never nila i rurubing...hmmm ano kaya gagawin nila...

guys need your comments and recommendations...

kanina (saturday oct 16) i went to dasmarinas but rochelle was not there but she left instructions to Monching (Ramon) sa service to handle my concerns.

i showed him the overspray and he agreed that it was indeed magaspang. so he asked me na iwan yung car but i cant on that particular time but we agreed and compromised to that my wife will bring the car on either nov 2 or 3 as i will be on another set of business trip so ok lang na wala muna si SF.
i asked him what are the steps that they will do on the overspray and this is what he told me.

1. lilihain ng pinaka fine yung may overspray
2. buffing yung areas
3. then overcoat

i asked him several times kung i-rubbing nila and he said na no they wont do that unless na gusto ko and i said that i dont want the rubbing thing and just tell me now that if they will do that then i will not leave the car with them and i'll just handle it myself by claying the affected areas. and he assured me several times na hindi nya/nila i rubbing.


ano sa tingin nyo? ok kaya ito to address the overspray issue? papayag ba ko sa steps nila?

Yes, you are correct na yung rattle lumalabas lang if the car is running actually pag lubak lang na medyo maliliit at marami. So far di ko pa dinala ang unit ko sa 3rd casa pero baka i try ko rin.

Ang hindi lang ako sure kung puede ko pa dalhin unit ko sa E rod since Manila bay is there branch.

Sir, based sa experience nyo dito sa forum ng SF may nangyari na rin ba similar to my case na pagkakuha pa lang ng unit may defect na kaagad tulad nito (bushing sa ilalim)?

Your welcome

You right that Manila Bay and E Rod are under one owner but the good and trusted mechanics are not the same. We at SFCP recommend E Rod especially if the car is in trouble (mechanics). So far base on the feedback with other member, karamihan naman na solve nila so better try them also

So far ikaw palang ang first owner na nagka problema during first 2-3 months of owning. Baka natapat ka lang sa medyo sumablay sa quality control. I heard nels73 has a problem underneath also but that was after so many long trips na. Under warranty yan so let them fix all trouble at once
