napansin ko lang, mas maikli papala powerband ng tucson (1800-2500rpm) at sta. fe (1800-2500) source: 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe Premium 4WD - Honest Car Reviews Philippines but they have 40-60% more power than the accent (1900-2750)

Hahhahha
Veloster sana ilabas. Mahal sa grey market.
i would just like to remind everyone that the accent crdi is a sub compact hatchback so space is really constrained. before i got my unit i drove test and compared with the other available hatches in the market and so far this is bigger in terms of leg room, headroom and cargo space.
pls. do not compare a hatch with a sedan. it's a no brainer.
jazz is more than 5 yrs. old na even with the facelift plus fc is not that impressive. we want something new in the market and we've had hondas eversince they were locally distributed ranging from the old civics to the new crvs ( still have a civic for porma and a crv for out of town at the moment ). the accent is our third car for daily use since we are tired of cars with 5-6 km/l consumption.
for me, if this was release a year ago and got enough reviews, i wouldve chosen this over the jazz. Cheaper initial cost + cheaper fuel used + better FC. Even if maintenance will be more expensive, i think total cost of ownership will still be cheaper.
Ayoko lang pag HARI dealers is ther 3-month PMS schedule. I wont go to them anyway.
btw, jazz was out of my list, contenders were:
- kia rio hatchback ( nice over-all look and toys inside but slow and hate the 17 inch mags )
- kia fiesta ( too small like the jazz )
- ford focus hatchabck ( nice sporty look and toys inside but i bumped my head several times getting in and out of the door. sobra baba )
- subaru wrx ( really wanted this but missus disapproves...pang chichicks ko lang daw )
also checked out the sedans:
- honda city modulo ( there's a new one coming out baka late this year or early next year and i don't want the burden of buying an old model car )
- new civic 2013 ( love the size and looks but we still have a civic and wanted a hatchback )
- nissan almera ( good size for a sub compact car/sedan but di ko taste )
- ford focus sedan ( same thing ang baba but love the features )
didn't check out the toyotas since i'm done with them....if ever i'm gonna buy a toyota i'm gonna get the 86 since it's a crossover with subaru ( will have to sell the other car sana but ayaw ni missus ) hahaha
^you had the subaru wrx and toyota 86 as options maybe you should have taken the MT variant for the driving pleasure![]()
maganda talaga to lalo na pag budget mo 700 to 800
ay swak swak talaga...
Thanks for the input.
Currently driving a GC M/T and need a car the missus can drive so it has to be an automatic and relatively small. Its great that you found the car that is tailored to your need. As much as I would like to get the accent, I just can't get over the awkward sitting position at the back. The wife even said that family or friends would be uncomfortable at the backseat given the metro traffic, what more for longer drives. Only those in front will be happy (me and her or her and one of her friends).
BTW, how's the drive of the accent HB? The previous gen diesel accent seem solid/robust to me except that the ride is a bit nervous/jittery in not so good roads.
Thanks.
