Kaya siguro hindi ideal pagdating sa mga van pero suprisingly, may mga van na fwd like yung nissan nv400 na meron sa ibang bansa.
advantage in space packaging. enables a lower and flatter floor for the passengers.

I think a FWD van is ok. Ford's Transit has FWD, and the Ram Promaster is FWD only.

At the speeds a van is going naman you should always be well within the limits of grip, so hindi issue yung under/oversteer.

those toyota hiace shuttle vans racing along slex, are making a mockery of the traffic rules.
    but yes, they are RWDs.

Even Chrysler's Pacifica/Voyager and the latter Town & Country are FWD. And it is a very successful line of minivans since 1980s. Bumebenta parin hanggang ngayon.

Infact they also introduced AWD on the Pacifica van recently, to take it even on the snow or slippery situations. Baka may AWD option din itong upcoming Staria/Starex.

Wala pang nirerelease na official technical details from hyundai, pero possible na may AWD version din na lalabas.

    Article from Caradvice

Images released by Hyundai show the Premium version wearing a '3.5' badge, suggesting its powertrain could be borrowed from the recently-released Santa Fe, offering 200kW and 332Nm via an eight-speed torque-converter automatic.

A turbo diesel is likely to be offered in entry-level Staria models, and could use a version of the Santa Fe's 148kW/440Nm 2.2-litre four-cylinder, or potentially the 137kW/416Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder borrowed from the Tucson.

Local Hyundai dealers have been told all-wheel-drive versions may be available, as reported by CarAdvice earlier this month.
Meron nang testing ng Staria/Starex sa Thailand:

All-new Hyundai Starex/Staria spotted testing in Thailand

Kung nasa Thailand lang ako, If I saw one of these parked or stopped, sisilip lang ako sa ilalim ng rear axle, underbody to look at the driveshaft if this is really rear-wheel drive, and on the front axle (FWD) to confirm its drive layout.

The shape on the front looks like the 1st gen Starex mixed with Grand Starex and a bit of a Toyota Previa.

Doesn't the grill holes look quite big? almost comprising the whole bumper.
