2022 Hyundai Staria (ex-Starex)

it's longer than the old starex, at 5.25 meters long, and it's wider than the old starex, at 1.97 meters wide.
i'd dislike to be the driver when backing it up or maneuvering it into a tight parking slot (aka mall).
and it's got a DIESEL engine.
but yes, it looks nice.

in my opinion,
stargazer is fine for private or small family use.
a bit smaller, and gas engine.

but then,
kanya kanyang panlasa, po.

changing the name from starex to staria, is a fine move for me.
staria is something new, and does not, to me, evoke old memories of that beast of burden, the starex.

but i have mixed feelings with heavy tint all over....
diminished visibility...

ewan ko na lang kung mablind spot sa lawak nyan. Yung rearview mirror patungan ko ng wideview eh kita mo na sa gilid kahit naka bicycle or scooter. Syempre clear tint lang.

Yung semi captain seat sa front and middle rows, yung gitna nagiging malaking armrest ba.

My Staria MT diesel is due for its first oil change at 5,000 kms and the manual says I should use SAE:0W-30 or fully synthetic oil. I ask the SA if it means my next oil change is after 10000 kms with the fully synthetic oil but he said it should still be after 5000 kms. Does the Staria engine really require a fully synthetic oil change every 5000 kms? Thanks in advance for your answers.

follow the recommended Oil and PMS schedule on the Manual unless you want to void the warranty.

After the warranty lapses:
My take is that it will depend on your usage.
If your are a heavy user (10K - 15k in 6 months) then you could switch to semi synthetic or regular oil since you will probably be having a PMS every 6 months.
If your a light user (5k or less in a year) then you can use |Fully synthetic oil.

Of course this is also based on the minimum recommended oil found in your manual.

ang okay sana na config, 2 or 3 sa front, 2 plus jumpseat, then bench last row, giving enough compartment space and leg room.

problem with staria 11 seater now, if we push the last row seat forward (2 captain seats removed) its too forward, wala ng sufficient leg space, if the last row is removed only 2 seats left at the back it sort of not balance in a way.

if there would be someone to lock the seat at the back its better sana

Follow your owner's manual. may 0w30 na hindi fully synthetic para mura, yung Amsoil meron. Tutal every 5,000kms change oil eh.

Land Transportation Office (LTO) released new homologation documents for new and upcoming vehicles.

One model that immediately caught our attention was the Hyundai Staria Lounge. This is a surprise since the brand's top-of-the-line version of the Staria is called Premium+. This could mean the new Lounge variant may serve as the new range-topping variant of the Staria lineup. Even more surprising is that the Staria Lounge comes with a 1600cc gasoline-hybrid engine that makes a total system output of 180 kW or 245 PS.
