seriously, i do not know the answer.
    heh heh.
Maybe they'll leverage the N3 platform that's used in alot of hyundai/kia vehicles (such as the sta fe and kia carnival) as some sites are speculating/reporting to minimize engineering costs?

Hyundai Staria: ein Raumschiff geht in Serie (Atleast from what google translate reads)

The move if true is probably to maximize cabin space since the engine can be mounted transversely and the cabin can be pushed forward more than in a rwd setup and in hyundai's case one less platform to develop.

if hancars is not an authorized outlet of hyundai korea,
then hancars can only offer in-house warranty. if they wish to parallel the official hyundai phils warranty, that is entirely up to them alone.
hyundai phils casas may not honor hancars-sourced cars for warranty claims. but they can service/repair, for a fee.

    but let me ask,
do current hyundai units develop significant warranty claims?
    kasi, kung wala naman...

Dati Hancars was already offering 5yr warranty, when local Hyundai nasa 3yrs pa lang.

For maintenance, never ko naman dinala or binalik kay hancars, I do my own repairs and maintenance basta kaya.

Local hyundai dealers will service hancar bought units. I once had my sliding doors repaired by the local dealer.

    There are significant recalls.

    Engine recall for fire risk:

Their high-end Genesis brand also added to the recall:
Genesis Cars Now Added to Hyundai, Kia Recall - Consumer Reports

Tucson has a recall for the ABS module which also carries a fire risk...
