Mga fellow 2011 Accent owners/users lets share our modifications or accessories installed to our unit for the benefit of others who also want to do the same car improvements.. pa pogi sa mga accent natin.

Mine is 1.4 M/T Phantom Black.

- installed H4 HID 8000k hi and low
- change the head lamp park lights and the plate # lights (behind) from warm to white.
- alarm and central lock... ( basic unit kc eh kaya walang alarm and central lock )

Next project:
- Ziebart diamond gloss and rust proofing
- bosch banana type wiper blades
- R16" or R17" chrome mags
- 2 din DVD head unit with gps, bluetoot, usb etc.

Please share yours too mga fellow...

saka sabi nila may problema daw yung 1.4? kumakatok or "knocking" daw yung engine? totoo ba yun? so far so good wala naman ako problems. and ang ganda ng handling niya hindi matgtag.

Hi sir.. this is my take on your list...

- HID on Stock headlight Housing -> Not a good idea, medyo sabog yong buga nito, and nakakaperwesyo po sa ibang motorista

- Fog Lights -> Aesthetically a must have. Medyo funny tingnan yong accent on those black foglight covers. Performance wise, it would add further illumination esp. on the lower portions.

- 15s/16s -> Practicality and affordability, go with 16s. 15s is too small for the accent, and it won't change a thing if you go with 15s kahit ano pa man ang design ng mags. masyadong obvious po sidewall height ng goma. Conservatively, 16s is the way to go. But if you can flip the switch by a notch, then try 17s, tapos pababain mo ng 1 Finger Gap. If you prefer looks over performance/maintenance cost.

- Alpine Stereo or other After Market HeadUnit -> It's the way to go.. Consider also replacing your stock speakers, and if again if you can still flip the switch as far as budget is concern, put a little power and a little kick on the audio, an amplifier and a subwoofer perhaps... Ang ganda getting caught in a traffic, tapos you have a good audio setup. Yong tipong parang tumatalsik laway ng Vocals ng banda sa paa or kamay mo habang nanonood ka ng live concert. hehehe, pero this setup would require a very deep pocket...

Others that I could think of:

- Wipers -> Very mediocre yong stock wiper ng accent. Try to see NWB wipers or even Mobis Wipers. they are good performing wipers. Currently dump my Mobis wipers and change to NWB due to aesthetic purposes. No wonder mas maganda ang NWB tingnan keysa sa MOBIS by a mile... thnx to sir SG for this, and had to request sir Benjie of Maspro to ship it to cebu. napakamahal dito. Yong set is 2.5k for a 26"-16" combination...

- Headlight Bulbs -> like the wipers, koreans seem to have good vision at night that they don't need further illuminations. Or let us put it this way... Their streets are well lighted that they don't need that extra illumination from your headlight.. ehehehehe... If budget meal, try OSRAM NB, Philips Extreme Vision, flip your budget a little bit wider and you can opt to have Raybrig, Polarg

- A good set of cleaning tools, materials & Equipment (Microfiber Cloths and Microfiber Dust wipers, claybar, waxes) -> Hehehehe, you don't want your car to look like a 2-3 year old accent. I guess sekreto sa mga naggagandahang kotse sa daan, is ang pagigin malinis and shiny kahit stock pa yan... Yan if kaya pa ng braso, and mahilig kang mag DIY detailing.

- Ito naging katatawanan sa thread na 'to but I'll include it na. You need a clock on your cabin... ehehehehe. If you don't want to frequently look at your wrist watch...

Madaling templahin aesthetics wise yong black cars... Pero dapat maging maingat sa ikinakabit. Though everyone do have its own preferences, pero personally, I'd stay away sa mga naglalakihang chrome garnishes. Avoid putting performance brand stickers that weren't even installed in the unit (personally I was a bit pissed off by an accent owner dito sa cebu. Akalain mo, ang laki ng MUGEN sitcker sa front winshield. My God...). And besides, it won't make the car faster, kahit lahat pa man yan na performance brand stickers...

Just my 2 cents though and happy modding...............

Sir about the 16"s wont it change the performance of the car? wala nabang kailangan ibahin sa suspension? gusto ko na kasi yung takbo ng accent di matagtag baka if i change sa 16" magiba yung feel?
and for the NWB whiper what is yung ideal size? Thank you very much sir you've been a great help

With 16s at 195/50/R16 Specs, the ride is definitely better than the 175/70/R14 stock tire spec. In my observation, it does improve steering feedback by a bit, plus you medyo you have eliminated the horizontal and vertical movement ng tire, for the mere reason na medyo manipis na sidewall height ng tires.

Sa wipers, ang accent natin is 26" - 16" or 650mm (Drivers Side) - 400mm(Passenger Side)

Yup R16 means Radial, 16" in diameter..

195 -> This is the width of the tire in terms of milimeter..

50 -> is the profile or aspect ratio of the tire. Or basically X% of the tires width (w/c is 195). So therefore sa example given, yong height ng sidewall ng goma is 50% of 195mm.

Remember din na when upgrading to after market mags, offset is also a thing to consider. Please use wiki to understand it more, pero basically offset is the distance between the hub mounting surface and the center-line of the rim.

Mga boss sino dito nagbababalk magbenta ng Head unit ng accent nila? yung may GPS po, or sino po ba nkakakalam kung saan nakakabile ng ganung HU? salamat or kahit kamukha lang po nun!

Try Sonny's sa Banawe (medyo malapit sa Phil Ortho). Got my concept one 15" rims from them and they accepted my stock metal rims and tyres as trade in (although fresh from CASA pa nun car ko nung dinirecho ko sa Banawe for wheel replacement). Tapos dumirecho ka na kina sir Benjie for mudguards at siguradong magpuputik and mga fender at pinto mo dahil lalabas ang gulong mo sa fender.

As for me, I preferred the 15" rims performance wise as I used to have 16" rims. Aesthetically mas maganda ung 16"s pero due to the road condition sa Metro Manila and bulacan/Pampanga mas pipiliin ko na 15" dahil nasabugan nako ng brand new tyres dahil sa kakasagasa ko nung mga reflector sa EDSA lalo na yung sa Bulacan na twice ung height kesa nung sa EDSA. as for the handling ng 15" rims, halos same lang sila nung sa 16 dahil pareho lang na 195 yung width ng tyre. nagkaiba lang sa sidewall na mataas ng 5% yung sa 15 kesa 16 to compensate for the difference ng rim size (195 50 R16 vs 195 55 R15).

Bale 6k ung kuha nila dun sa stock tyres and metal rims. Take note though na saktong paglabas sa CASA nung dinala ko sa Banawe so ung gamit lng ng tyres is from Edsa Balintawak to Banawe. nakipagdeal na din kc ako sa may-ari before pa lumabas yung car kaya smooth yung transaction namin.

Yung ibang dealer sa banawe upto 2k lang daw ung kaya for trade in ng 1 set na wheels. Kaya sa Sonny's ako bumili.

Sa MASPRO Banawe ako nagpalagay ng OEM foglamps with column switch. 7k bigay ni ka Benjie sakin. Lahat naman kotse pwede yung 17" rim pero expect a more harsher ride and more prone to damage ung rims kasi masyado na manipis goma mo nun. Also, ma void din warranty ng suspension mo kasi above normal specs na yun sa model ng kotse natin. Upto 16" ung recommended with 195 50 R16 tyres. choice mo kung ano mas important sayo, porma or comfort. Check mo sa Banawe, makakakuha ka from 25k above depende kung ano brand ng tyres. Me personally 25k ko nakuha yung set ng wheels ko pero I settled with china made nankang tyres. Although tried and tested ko na ito from my previous car na napaabot ko ng 4 yrs (40 kms) 1 set ng wheels before ako nagpalit.

7 thousand yung OEM foglamps and column switch. For Skirts pwede ka pa-customize kay A-toy.
