if the entry level will be at 2M definitely it won't sell. you do not even see newly bought short wheel based 1.8M santa fe anymore, and not even 1 of the 2.5M long wheel base grand santa fe. they have priced themselves out of the market.

Hyundai seems to be having delusions of grandeur. With their strong presence in Europe, they think their cars are now European too. Grand Starex, Grand Santa Fe, ultimo pati i10 Grand i10 na rin. The competitive pricing and product planning that drove them to top 3 in sales is now completely replaced with rubbish. Shame. Ganda pa naman cars nila.

Paltry equipment list IMO, I'd rather spend another 200-300K for a grey narket Grand Starex, yung Santa Fe naman paiba iba equipment list, upgrade tapos babawasan din, same case for the Tucson which was recently reviewed by CarGuide. One time may power liftgate, then biglang wala nanaman pala.

Sayang, they could have retained their spot kaso kung value for money, better look somewhere else.

Pricing versus level of equipment. As mentioned, they are pricing themselves out of the market. Nowadays their only edge seems to be their excellent diesel engines, but after a decade or so of using the exact same engines, the competition is catching up even in that department.

With the base model automatic Santa Fe priced at 1.7M+, it is no shock that it is collecting dust as compared to Montero's, Fortuner's, Everest's and even MUX's and Trailblazer's even though it is supposedly a superior product.

its not the pricing.. people know how wretched their after sales service is...

    santa fe is a 5+2seater...

grand santa fe is a 7seater but at 2.5m?

been watching more youtube of this, ngaun may mga initial revs na sa Australia. So this is purely LWB pala, wala na goodbye Santa Fe Dream, other than this will be more than 2.2M na siguro, turn off ako sa mga LWB SUVs.

ill wait for the Tucson na lang, kasi diba ganun naman ang Tucson ginagaya lagi ang new Santa Fe. ayaw ko ng mahaba parang van, eh mag-isa lang naman ako madalas sa car

    From TopGear Philippines:

"Finally, for the more family-oriented types out there, the all-new Santa Fe. Frankly, this entered our market pretty fast as it was only revealed globally at the Geneva International Motor Show earlier this year. Well, it's here, and it looks very impressive: sleek headlights, a massive front grille, muscular proportions, and a very plush and stylish interior. Powering it is a 2.2-liter CRDi engine that churns out 197hp and 441Nm between 1,750-2,750rpm. No set price yet, but HARI says we should expect it to be between P2.5 million to P3 million."

Something like 3M for the new Santa Fe. No, thanks!

I'd pick a CX9 or Explorer for that price. People spending that much money on a vehicle are not worried about fuel consumption anyway.

You havn’t read the manual at all? Are you serious? Part of the thrill of owning a new car is finding out it’s features in the manual. So many bits of information, like do you know how to break in your new car? The manual has this info, but the SA will tell you that it is not needed. Also, your SF is a new model & first few units in the country. Knowing Hyundai, it is almost fully featured to entice people to buy. They remove contents in the future. Madaming features yan.

    That too.

No arguing that the Grand Santa Fe is a good car. If they price it similar to the Everest, or even the Sorento, we may actually see more of them on the road.

Santa Fe was good but it is getting watered down here even more, same with the Tucson.

HARI is such a PITA, the brand would have had more success if it was Hyundai itself that distributes its products here. Just check AU and US reviews of their cars and none will ever be as barebones as what is offered in our market, with a competitive price at that. No such luck here in PH.

And if you think Ford and Mitsu are bad with their casas, then try PMS with Hyundai. Only then would you have seen it all.
