It really is inconvenient..pangit naka kotse especially pag may nakasakay na mga pasahero at ang tahitahimik sa loob..very awkward. i like a little background noise when i drive..it fills up the monotony.
i didn't know it was the stereo that drained my batt..the technicians/mechanics only found out when they came to fix the Accent..i was suspecting something else entirely but the stereo. if it was just a simple fuse prob i could've remedied it early enough but it it wasn't kaya they said they will refer it to the casa for either:
a) repair or
b) replace..at their option, of course
the problems with this unit started innocently enough. you hear or feel something and it gets progressively worse. i am resigned to the fact that perhaps Hyundai has programmed some code which instructs the car to start destroying itself, well figuratively of course. but why does this happen? business of course! product breaks and you bring it back to get it serviced and more crap happens. one of the oldest tricks in the books..
anyways, i thought about selling the day after i started this thread..problem is, magtatagal lang to sa market since people are already aware of the issues. if i do sell it will be palugi price..which sucks. also bank still has lien on the dam_ed thing.
-Ni-reset/ni-reprogram nila apparently ang ECU when they fixed the engine-knock issue..
-yes, na reprogram na rin sa Euro2 in response to the power lag/late engine response issue
when it was new, from our province to Manila and back the car was a joy to drive..we even drove up Quezon Natl park (EME) with 7 pax (don't ask), a full tank and a trunkful of luggage with no issues whatsoever. so my question was, how did after a few months the car started experiencing issues as benign as losing tire pressure and sticking brakepads? it's true that i've already had the tires fixed 3 times and the tire tech found out one of the tires had a factory defect..a steel wire thread was broken and sticking at an acute angle which punctures and causes the tire to lose pressure..i had one up front that is losing pressure and a rear tire with factory defect. good thing these were easy and relatively cheap to fix.
It reminds me during my last PMS (Tucson) at Hyundai LP. I was able to talk and comfort the guy na kasunod ko pumas ok sa casa. Habang wait namin ang passbook (pila) nasa baba kami waiting to finish the initial checklist being performed, the guy uttered a word sabay sila sa tire (accent) kasi kungkelan daw importance ang lakad nya saka pa nawalan ng power. Sabi ko check nya dito sa forum Kung ano mga isyus na na encounter mga accent owners...after a few minutes the guy told me he was advised to leave his car for further checking kasi below 5k kms pa lang ang odo nya.
I have the same experience... Kaya lng nd tlga nila maayos ung complain ko about lagging/ low power issue.. So many frustrations about this car... By the way you might want to check this link regarding accent's fuel consumption.. Sa US nga lng to... http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/business/...e-more-1m-cars
tks...mine is a 2011 AT/1.4...dapat kasama yung Accent namin dahil overstated din ang mileage na sinabi samin ng SA...galing mang BS ni *#$&...almost 20kms/L daw kaya! actually ang naalala ko na reference nya is yung 2010 Crdi na Accent..pareho daw halos ang fuel mileage...i already suspected he was bulls#1tting me when he said that.. i live and drive in the province (no traffic lights) and hardly do i get over 12kms/L with a problematic, unresponsive and a finicky engine at that..
according to the report ALL Hyundai owners..pero sa US kasi 1.6L lang yata ang variant ng mga Accents.
.
After he sold us the car, haven't heard or seen him since and when I asked around, nobody knows where he moved to..di ko alam kung na transfer na or what..parang they keep it a secr*t where their personnel's at..he was not even a Hyundai SA but from the Mitsu department..so, there isn't anything i can say to him. Seems like he was as misinformed as others.
Same as mine again... After we got the car.. Bgla na lng nawala ung SA ko... Nagresign na daw.. As soon as she got her commission... Apparently 3 months palng daw sya sa kanila.. I got mine in north edsa... Thing is.. Ang dami pang naglalabasan na problema ung kotse. I think they should do something about it here sa Phils kasi madami ng complaints about the fuel consumption... Which is sobrang layo from what they are claiming na "fuel efficient" ang accent
Hahaha, ako naman after i got the car puro reklamo ako sa sales advisor ko. Bandang huli umiiwas na siya sakin hahahaha.
*cooperS,
Buti nakaka 12km/l ka pa. Try mine 5.5 km/l lang city driving, although wala naman akong low power issues and i need to gas up minimum 95 octane para hindi mag knock.
Ok na ba FC issues mo bratski? Saklap nyan ah, 5.5km/L...

17.3K:type:
a subcompact car running at 5.5KM/L, talagang paktay tayo...
Parang consumption ng old Explorer ng erpats ko w/c plays around 4.5-5.5KM a Liter lang... Hehehehehe...

Parang discriminatory nga..ang Accent sa US ay pawang 1.6 version, loaded and for about the same price as our 1.4AT here..
*bratski...takaw ng Accent mo..does it mean your Accent full tank only has 32 liters? or roughly 8 gallons?..i accidentally filled up my tank with Shell Nittro or Premium..engine response wasn't on par with just super unleaded..mas pronounced ang engine lag nya...economy car nga bakit premium gas naman kailangan i karga? it defeats the purpose imo of owning one. Basta sabi ni SA only use Shell unleaded..probably the only advise he gave me that made some sense and one i'm keen on following.
