    Yan nga din nabasa ko sa manual, since hindi naman tayo eu ang minimum ron is 91, petron unleaded is 93. So kung hindi uubra sa 93 does that mean na some units naka set ang timing for euro? Afaik yung mga late model hyundais are detuned just to meet the asian fuel requirement. Considering the 1.4 engine ng accent makes almost if not the same torque and horsepower as a 1.5 vios. Kahit yung 1.4 fiesta down ang hp and torque ratings vs accent. Kaya siguro tinotope ang 1.4 sa 93 ron. Pag na retard siguro ang timing baka maayos na ang problema, downsides lang malamang bababa ang power. Just a wild guess.

    ano ba pinagkaiba nang premium sa unleaded gas? kase saken naka isang full tank na ko nang premium gas so far wala naman ako naririnig na engine knocking sounds? sa caltex ako nag kakarga withs is 95 ron. ok lang ba na premium kinakarga ko? kase sabi sa manual only unleaded fuel lang daw? hina kase humatak kapag unleaded gas? lol

    All gasolines being sold are unleaded. The only difference between the premium and the non-premium ones is the octane rating. Unless you gas up on pumps which are tagged as 'regular', those are leaded.

    I stand corrected hehe, maybe they ought to detune the accent narin para mawala na yang engine knock and hindi na mapili sa fuel

    What is HARI's stand on this? I guess they should be the official source of information about this. They should know if the product they are selling are EU or non-EU based. Just my two cents.

    mga ka bro accent users tanong ko lang kung ilan normal rpm nang mga accent nyo kapag naka pull stop? yung saken nasa 700-800.

    i posted sa elantra thread to reset the ECU by disconnecting the negative terminal ng battery for 30min. it seems ito ang ginawa ng mga ford fiesta drivers sa unit nila. nag-improve ang fc at gear shiftingng AT nila at di na namimili ng fuel. baka pwede rin ito sa inyo.

    Haay ako rin may engine knock na parehong pareho ng nangyari sa mga nagpost dito. Kainis naman, punta ako bukas sa Hyundai , abala sa trabaho ko. Yung knocking sound pag idle at pag nag change gear ang na experience ko 1300 km pa lang ako. ANo ba yan!

    Sa mga may engine knock, 93 octane pa gas nyo? Pag start ba and maintain with 95, this will not happen??

    Dapat kasi kung talagang 95 RON ang requirement sabihin kagad pag release pa lang like sa swift namin...

    Good day mga bossing. Kala ko ako lang may problema sa knocking sound na yan. 1 month pa lang 1.4L MT accent ko, i believe mga 3rd week ko nasimulan narinig yung "topek" sound na yan, lalo na kung mag gi-gear change ako a higher level. ang tunog nya yung parang sa 2nd hand cars kapos sa power dahil naka low gear ka (inappropriate of that speed and weight). Maybe becaus i'm using Unleaded ng SeaOil. malapit kasi samin at the price diference of P1.80/L.

    Paubos na rin to gas ko, i"ll fill it up to full with Shell unleaded. Then i'll be using same until 2nd week of May para pure Shell unleaded na lahat. If the knocking sound persist, then i have to have it checked sa casa.

    i hope this resolves the issue. Akala ko nasira ko yata, kasi minsan when i shift to 4, pumapasok sya sa 2. Makakasira ba to mga bossing sa sitwasyon ganito? wrong gear shift. Minsan nga yung 1 pumapasok sa 3, namamatayan tuloy ako ilang beses. sobrang liit ba ng clearance ng gear shifting blocks, or its just me.

    Ganito ang nangyayari sa kin ngayon, feeling ko after i gas up sa petron unleaded, dati caltex ako or shell e. Doon nga kaya yun??

    Pag naubos gas' try nyo 95 ron (xcs, gold, etc) 'the price diff is nothing if this will solve the knocking issue or lessen it...

    ^^imho wala sa gasolina yan, i first experienced engine knocking using petron unleaded, nag switch ako sa petron xcs which has a higher octane and hindi naman nabawasan ang knock, although mas lumakas ang hatak niya. Its not the station or the brand that is the problem, but the unit itself. I gas up my other cars on the same station and wala naman ako naging problema. The problem is the ecu needs reflashing, at the time nireklamo ko yung knocking issue, under upgrading daw yung software sa casa. I need to go back probably first week of september for the reflash/update. Sana nga maayos na after that, or ibabalik ko sa kanila yung headache na binigay nila sakin.

    Yung knocking sound na naririnig mo during idling is not engine knock, that's the sound of valve tappet and is quite normal. Engine knock manifests itself pag warmed up na makina mo( usually after 10-15 mins driving) and usually in hot weather like midday or afternoon. And only during acceleration or uphill climbs, minsan lumalabas din when coasting ka tapos papitik pitik sa accelerator.

    Tried Blaze? I know it's not optimal, but at least it should tide you over till the reflash.

    If it still knocks on Blaze, that's severly messed up.

    yung saken di ko pa na eexprience yung engine knock kasi madalang ko lang naman magamit yung car ko kapag di na kainitan madalas hapon na around 3-5 pm papasok ako then 8-10 uwian kaya di ko na eexprience yung hot weather pero na try ko naman na sya minsan whole day tumatakbo nun lumuwas kami sa manila tatlo pa kami non. wala naman naging problema sarap pa nga i drive nasa 140-150 * nlex slex iwas iwas lang sa mga nanghuhuli hehe. and also i use caltex gold since nun 1k pms ko until now na 34++ odo na swertihan nga lang talaga sa unit siguro i hope ma ayos na yung mga engine knocking sounds nyo.
