Grabeh, generalize yong hyundai in terms of quality.
Ako mismo, owned a honda city 3rd gen & and the new 1.4AT Accent, the current models on the segments. The accent isn't that shitty as what they have told you...
If you read news on some of the automotive blogs and insiders, si Honda felt so threatened that their designers went back to the drawing boards and see what they can do to prevent hyundai from eating up their market.
Even VW felt so threatened that mismo yong president ng Volkwagen Group ang kumilatis sa i30.. It was posted in this forum yong video.
The thing about the harder metal ng honda city marketing gimmick lang yan. If your choices are the base model accent m/t or city m/t, mag accent ka nalang. More features, mas pogi and most importantly mas mura. Pag sa top of the line accent or city naman...mag city ka nalang.o ayan hindi ako biased ha
Teka accent knocking topic ito ah. Ot na tayo dito.
Back to topic
Been driving my accent the whole day, wala na talagang knocking hehehe. Ang sarap pala mag drive pag walang knocking. Sana pag nag switch nako sa lower octane ok parin.
Opps sori boss bratski.
Congrats & enjoy your ride.
Sure lalakas lalo ang demand ng accent with this development.
Magkaroon din sana ako (wish ko lang).
One last OT question, soft pa rin ba rear suspension ng accent until now?
Minimal lang passengers ko, around 1 to 2 at most. Pag mas marami pa dyan i dont use the accent na.
I have a 3rd gen city, and the suspension is firm.
I think characteristic talaga ng honda na firm yong suspension settings. My sister also has a GD Jazz 1.5, and the suspension is almost the same with my honda city...
Sa tingin ko, na-overlook ng Hyundai yong suspension setting ng accent. though it received mixed reviews as some US insiders often like the executive ride feeling (soft suspension), pero sa atin it won't work because of the quality of city roads and provincial highways natin dito...
Better have a test drive if your worried about the soft suspension to personally feel if its effect.

If you ask me, mas value for money ang a/t. Aside from the convenience of driving an automatic.
I agree with Sir bratski, safety wise the MT is a stripped down version of the AT.
Again if your really worried about not having all this safety features on your car and you have 100k to spare better get the AT.
