dumadami na ang i10 sa kalsada... fuel consumption on the first 5000kms is expected to be high since break in period pa lang... modern cars today are very efficient and the aircon will not contribute much on the FC even in on or off mode..

saw an i10 in megamall this am. The sales agent was a joke.

He claimed that with the i10, you refill the radiator coolant thru the windshield washer fluid bottle. I tried to correct him but he insisted that its new technology.

He also said, that its fuel injected therfore you dont need to add oil to the fuel.

Hello, fellow i10-eans! (Naks, parang mga taga-Ateneo, ha!)

This morning, my family and I drove Marten (my i10) to Antipolo for his car blessing. Driving from Commonwealth QC to Antipolo took only around 30 minutes, with Marten revving it at 80kph. Handling was okay all the way up to the Cathedral, and since the size of the roads at Antipolo are usually just about a lane's width, Marten fitted very well!

So, at around 10.30 after the mass, we enlisted Marten at the cathedral's office to have him blessed. Made a small donation as well. And in a while, the priest already arrived and had Marten finally blessed. (Amen) Medyo generous lang nga sa sprinkling ng holy water si father, basang-basa seats namin, pati kami, binless din niya. Para kaming mga basang sisiw. Dad bought a few sampaguita strings and hanged it at the rear-view mirror. Talaga naman, kulang na lang may Sto. Nino pang ilagay, altar na! Hehehe. Just kidding.

So there, my family and I said a little prayer for safety and good voyage wherever our new baby would take us. Marten's part of our family now.

Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, thank you for guiding our way.

magandang araw sa inyong lahat. i've been doing quite a lot of research on the i10 and so far the reviews found on the net are ok.

i'm no car expert, but here's my 2 cents lang on the FC:
    1. i test drove the A/T and i think the 1.1L engine is underpowered for A/T so it tends to work harder. that's why A/T owners are experiencing poor FC. i'm almost sure that the M/T version has significantly better FC.
    2. in general driving try to have a lighter foot. let it accelerate moderately. huwag makipag-sabayan sa mga hondas at toyotas.
    3. on 5th gear, don't go over 2,500 RPM. tanong ko na rin sa mga i10 owners: what's the speed at 2,500 RPM in 5th gear? if i would take a guess, mga 80kph, tama ba?
    4. i really don't think the newness of a car affect its FC. today's modern cars/engines don't need break-in and should achieve optimum and normal performance straight out of the casa.

Hello everyone. I have just finished my first full tank of gas filled with XCS last night. My lil deep ocean blue i10 traveled approx 301km.

I have already refilled my gas tank with 30L Xtra Unleaded. I would like to try an experiment if my 10km/l FC would increase.

My friend, Mike, also told me to try to not go over 2000 rmp. I have tried to change shift once 2000 rmp hit on my tachometer. This is not an easy task.

The gas pedal on 1st gear is very responsive. You don't need to put much pressure on your foot to get you moving on the 1st gear. Once you put a bit of pressure on the foot pedal, your rmp will go past the 2000 rmp on your tach. Within a split second, you may have to shift to 2nd gear immediately. This calls for fast gear shifting.

I'll keep you guyz posted on what the performance of my i10 will be when I use:
    1. regular octane 93+ unleaded gas.
    2. 2000 rmp per gear.

I was planning to get i10 as my second car, but base on the Drive Test i did last friday and the field reports re: its FC, i'm having a second thought, my Mazda consumes 8 to 9 kms / liter city driving and my odometer is only 500kms,

when i was driving i10, napaka ingay i mean rinig mo sa labas ang malalakas na busina ng jeep pati mga makina nila, and matagtag, ( i drove test a AT i10), *538k for a 1.1 displacement, i think i'll go with city's 1.3 AT..

i could be wrong also..that's why i'm not rushing anything...and abang mode lang ako dito..the SA of Hyundai told me that it can go upto 15kms/liter city driving...I'm not buying their claims...

Hell... listened to Mazda's SA re: Mazda 3's FC they told me that 10 to 11kms/liter city driving..naniwala naman ako so ayun naghahanap ako ng fuel effecient na AT na oto.

I have never seen a car na halo ang oil and gas.

yun nga din ang pagkaka-allam ko because i used a motorcycle before pero 4 stroke nman, kaya hindi na kailangan nung mixture.kya medyo naguluhan din ako nung may nabasa ako regarding sa oil and fuel.So aside po sa engine oil, meron pa bang ibang oil na kailangan i monitor?especialy sa AT since wala ng clutch ito?
