mga bro na naka 1.3, kamusta ang handling ng 15" wheels ninyo? and acceleration? I have a 1.5AT and will be going for 15" in the near future. TIA.

    ^^ You're downgrading ? Diba ang stock size ng 1.5V rims e, 16 ? Why downgrade ?

    - to significantly reduce rotational mass
    - to reduce unsprung weight (for every lb times 6 daw sa sprung weight reduction)
    - to increase handling
    - to increase mpg
    - to lessen brake stress
    - to increase acceleration

And have you actually WEIGHED the tire/wheel combinations? Kung parehas lang yung WEIGHT ng mga yan, walang bisa ang mga ss:
    -Unsprung weight
    -Increased mpg
    -Lessened brake stress
    -rotational mass
    -increase acceleration

Handling is REDUCED kasi mas makapal yung tire sidewall - more sidewall flex.

Grab a set of 17" TE37s. Those will be much much much lighter than the stock 15s or 16s.

eto na lang based on simple physics...

    let's try to compare a 15" tire/wheel combo vs. a 17" one....
even if the over-all mass are the same (assuming that your 17 inchers are the lightweight one) the 17" will still consume more gas, why u ask?

kasi the heavy part of the wheel is much farther away fm. the center of the wheel...kasi nga bigger diameter sya -yung rims...and that increased Rotational mass/inertia requires a bit more fuel for the engine to turn the tire/wheel. handling wise and porma wise of course the bigger mags are better IMO...

ang problema kasi nung stock 16"mags , is that their quite heavy so its robust enough not to crack in our extremely bad roads...

    well to each his own.

    ^ Tama rin,

But if the weight difference between the smaller / larger rims when the tires are mounted are negligible, there probably won't be a significant effect on your fuel consumption/acceleration/braking figures anyway.

Might as well sacrifice a little for your car's better looks

^ syempre kung forged 15s vs forged 17s...ramdam mo pa din ang increase sa perf.

Lolz parang ako kabaliktaran ginawa ko dito ah.. hehehe From 195/50/r16 nag upgrade ako ng tires to 195/55/r16. Pero laki ng pinagbago ng ride quality

according to the tire size calculator:

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
    195/50-16 3.8in 11.8in 23.7in 74.4in 852 0.0%

    195/55-16 4.2in 12.2in 24.4in 76.8in 825 3.2%

Na-misinterpret ko tong question nya. Kung wing lang naman pala eh sa tingin ko medyo okay lang basta hindi body kit since okay naman ang stock 16's ng 1.5 variant.
